When excess gas is heated up in the exhaust, it gets so hot that when the backfire is released, it produces a flame. I'm not 100% sure on this.

its not over run as the details say because over run is when the car is increasing speed with no throttle response so the ECU cuts the fuel supply and only allows enough for the engine to stop stalling. It is as you say just heated up gas with a little bit of unburnt fuel in the exhaust and due to the being so hot it ignites

and your wrong, this is how flames out the exhaust work, so you rev your engine right up, air flow meter sensors a large amount of air been sucked in, the computer can only expect it to continue right? so when you back off, for a little bit it will pump alot more fuel then whats needed at that rev range and as the throttle body closes there is a lack of air, so more fuel and less air, not all fuel gets burn when sparked, and thats why it ignites and flames out the exhaust, back fire is differemt

Yeah a 911 turbo will beat the lambo but the lambo looks and sounds better. It also costs more. I've been in a 911 turbo a fair bit as my mates dad has one and it was pretty awesome. You can also fit 4 people in it.
