Though some characters from Guilty Gear are superior design-wise to those found in BlazBlue (like A.B.A., Baiken, Potemkin, and Johnney mainly), BlazBlue is a far better game and I'm glad a 2D anime fighter was finely made that would put the others to shame.

The Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and Guilty Gear series simply could not produce a game that was not strictly designed for hardcore niche gamers with magic fingers.

I actually have reasons. And overcomplexity is one of them. I absolutely cannot see the average player getting into Guilty Gear. No tutorial, extremely difficult combos, the eternally punishing "rapetheminthecorner" strategy, and an overall far less refined game (both graphically, mechanically, musically, and gameplay-wise) are all justifications for what I said.

I think you have valid reasons and justifications, but BB being better is still a matter of intelligent opinion. BB and GG cater to the FG community but they differ on targets. BB is attracts more people, while GG remains isolated with the hardcores. But should we really compare BB to its technical daddy? It's actually unfair to compare both games from the start because it creates the thinking that GG is WAY too hardcore while BB is a dumbed down imitation, which is untrue.

The difference between us is that you so want to win this argument, when from the start I just expressed myself. GG has a lot of firsts; first FG with Heavy Metal music , first FG with a RPG-like universe, first FG that uses weird weapons other than fists. BB might be a revival of that legacy, but GG is first.

Now THAT makes a hell of a lot more sense. As a creative work BlazBlue is heavily derivative with Guilty Gear being the original "standard-setter". I can agree with you on that, but I maintain that gamers choose which games worth playing based on their capacity to entertain as a game, not a creative work.

When it comes down to it though, when you want to fight (rather than admire it), and you have BlazBlue and Guilty Gear on the table, BlazBlue is the obvious choice.

Some fans think differently, they find BB's character designs more appealing while GG is weird. BB is not only a derivative of GG, it's a collection of popular anime stereotypes/fetishes. In gameplay, I like GG for its speed.

In an economic perspective, GG and BB as goods are not substitutes but complements. However BB is more marketable and therefore, marketed more. GG is needed by BB for its production, but when it comes to consumers, BB is needed for GG to be promoted.

Well I've read "pacifism" in the wiki and it seems that it has different angles. Pacifism does not equate to conformism(accepting things as they are) and indifference, it simply aims to look for a common ground but keeps human life and rights as priority. Violence is simply last resort when negotiations fail. Sadly, neo-colonialism is also a form of pacifism, you don't conquer them, but you pressure them to agree with unfair economic deals for your own profit (USA & Japan.)

Pacifism and conformity are unrelated. I never suggested pacifists were conformists. Most non-conformists are pacifists, actually.

When I refer to pacifism, I refer to people who take the passive approach to things rather than the assertive or apathetic approach. Apathetic people are just obstacles, while pacifists refuse to act despite numerous motivations. The concept of "violence never solves anything" is their mantra, yet is incredibly flawed.

I study in a university known for its militant protests and I get scrutinized because of my perspective. While my schoolmates storm government offices and protest against corruption, I go to the mountain area and teach children. I respect their beliefs, but I just prefer action more than reaction.
