  • Wow, did a quick inspection in just the room I am sitting in right this second, what an epic fail! So when I went out to look into possiblity replace something (who can afford to replace their entire household) I was quiet suprised to see how hard it would actually be to replace items with American made products, Ugh,,,,,

  • Thank you for sharing, I'm sending this video to everyone I know and am having my house painted and am changing the paint company I'm using. Thank you for sharing!!!!!

  • EXCELLENT! Thanks for sharing in your Dec Newsletter David Icke.

I'd like to believe that 'things' are very different here in South Africa, although I do know for a FACT, that grate loads of clothes arrive here from China, and factories are set up to stitch "Made in South Africa" into them, before then shipping these bogus SA manufactured goods to the USA and God alone knows where else.

It's a JOKE folks! What a crazy, debauched world we exist in ~ as 'living' isn't an option for many.

    SA

  • Best products all made in USA. american pride clotthing company :)

  • Wall Street makes the lion share on profit in american sales. Wall Street is american pension funds and private bank'a'teer (Rockefeller, Rothschild, Lehman, Goldman, Stanley) money. The american people are zombies. The "Tribe" pays american skeletal people, the bones of the economy, ie, gov, war machine, and int'l corp employees, well. All others are rotting meat below a skeleton face, Welcome to Bush's New World Order.

  • Good show, however hardware part is done go for software, same is the story most of soft-job are not american however being done for america and used by americans.

Next show software??? Wake-up to reality, how america is being softly robbed!

  • Don't we need to create 200,000 jobs a month just to keep up with population growth? Ding dong, ABCNews?

  • I'm a scientist and trader, 4 years ago I discovered a truth about the Gold market that allows you to trade it with a very high degree of accuracy, essentially having a "cheat sheet" for the Gold market, by knowing what it will do before it does it. How? Good question, and I've got the answer. Are you ready for the truth? Google “Gold Trading Academy.”

  • Since 1999, 70 million Falun Gong adherents have been brutally persecuted by their own government, the Chinese Communist Party in China. For simply doing five exercises for health and being a good person, their own government jails, tortures, rapes and even kills them illegally. It's estimated that at least half of all inmates in forced labor camps in China are Falun Gong practitioners. The media rarely covers this persecution due to pressure from the Chinese government.

  • 0:13 SPIDERMAN!

  • Even if I want to, I can't afford to buy Made In America products anymore, they cost way to much and I live on a fixed income. (:>(

  • The amount of money you make is up to you, if you work hard at it you can make $5,000 per day, if you want to do it part time for an hour per day you can easily make $200 per day. It's much easier to do than you think and if you'd like to see what this is all about. Come over to my website “Gold Trading Academy” and I'll show you.

  • Blame US's "Free Trade Agreements" that creates cheaps labor outside the US.

  • O yaeh, they also export TERRORISM.

  • The only thing North American produces is BOMBS and DEATH.

  • @sacopenapa because I'm, sure none of the technology you use was created by an american.

  • While we try to buy things made in the US and even do research online trying to locate American made products. The problem is when you need something and the only thing available is made in another country, what choice do you have? Do without? Sometimes that is not an option.

  • NAFTA was the beginning of the end of the USA along with Bill Clinton signing deals with CHINA.

Now America is nothing more than a morally bankrupt country living on credit cards that are running out.

  • People shop at Wall-Mart where 100% products are all MADE IN CHINA do you think people care no they do not.

People want CHEAP at any cost, look forward to unemployment and the economic collapse of America.

The USA will not survive without manufacturing goods/services. They are driving away in a Japan made car.

  • I can proudly say I have never sponsored slave labor by purchasing goods made by slaves in another country. But no doubt there are such items within others I've purchased, like pc components.

Nobody has the time to reseach where the components come from, so it should be up to marketing to display their goods more proudly where such blood stained components have not been used. If not, assume the worst.

  • @Valthepixie What about product made by inmates in our own prison system?

  • @bhikudave Prison inmate goods are not visible in the UK. I don't think they make stuff for sale. Maybe Post Office mail bags or some such, but certainly there is nothing commercial in the shops. :)

  • My shoes are...

    Red Wings made in Minnesota.

  • consumers go on price --actually looking at tags (origin, nutrition, etc) is too much work for a typical 99%'er.

  • Americans have become lazy. The crap we make is just as crappy as what the Chi-Coms make. The entitlement society is what doesn't work.

Buy foreign... It's just as good, it's cheaper, and think of how many poor people in other countries it feeds.

  • @RemoteSwitch This is true. My grandfather was working on his brake line and bought a new flaring tool. It was the worst tool he ever bought and it was not cheap. The holes on the tool didn't even line up properly making it unusable. To his surprise it was made in the US

  • MADE IN USA check out this products, they are great AMERICAN PRIDE CLOTHING COMPANY :)

  • nice jobs guys and thanks for promoting racism America

  • I guess , when you buy American built goods you pay another 10-15 % for those CEOs of those US companies who retire on $60 million and about $40 million in company bonds.

Becomes expensive to stuff the pockets of those CEOs, CFOs, COOs and directors when you make $10/hour. So it is cheaper to buy products made outside, they are cheaper.

  • It's difficult but doable. This show made us think about the existing products we had in our home and also our future purchases. We're trying to contribute to "Made In America." :)

  • I try not to buy american. Only stuff like Intel, I can live with. No xbox for me, just a ps3. No to apple iphone, i am happy with ZTE.

  • The real price of Free Trade, look around you, the 'consumer economy does not work,

  • @SirReal007 It's working just fine for me.

  • All the ties I buy are made in the USA. They are more expensive, but are well worth it.

  • MADE IN AMERICA IS TH ONLY WAY TO SHOP, SAVE MONEY, KEEP JOBS IN AMERICA, PROTECT JOBS, EMPLOYMENT, COLLECTIVE-BARGAINING, MONEY, SAFETY, OSHA, ETC.

  • @annmarietom06 So you're a national socialist? We seen your kind before.

  • o yeah i buy american WHILE YOU DRIVE AWAY IN UR TOYOTA asshole

  • I agree with the last statement. Most Americans just don't care about this country and all companies located in the U.S. LIKE ACADEMY really just care about the dollar.

  • Americans are JUST STUPIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD:

We live in a WORLD OF FREE TRADE, ITS FROM TRADE THAT COMES INOVATION, TE WORLD DELOPMENT, LOWER PROCES ETC....

    JUST STUPID THIS SHOW!

FOR EXAMPLE: IF I JUST BY PRODUTS FROM A STATE IN US, BECAUSE IS MADE IN THAT STATE AND I LIVE THERE YOU KNOW THE CONSEQUENCES?

STOP BEEING DUMB, MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS IS MAID IN CHINA BUT IS MAID BY US CORPORATES THAT MOVED THERE.

    AND STOP BLAIMING CHINA

  • @emanuelfonseca123

Lower labor costs rarely are passed on to the consumer and your a tool if you think so. A large portion of new products (innovation) originate in America and are sold/stolen by others. Lay off the caps and learn to spell before you want to educate anyone on trade, consumerism and economics.

How many child/slave laborers do you have employed?

  • @quercuslobata2 Listen i m a colegee degree. You know why America is falling apart?

Because americans don t know a sheat about the real world, don t know what is happening in Europe, Asia, Brasil etc....

Europe produces everithing , America buy everithing from China and Europe.

Its a question of time until the EURO problem is solved... When the EURO becames de Global Currency, is the end of USA. That is the affraid os OBAMA, the FED etc

  • @emanuelfonseca123 Yeah your college educated. Cracker Jack box degree. When you grow up maybe we will actually let you sit at the grownup's table. Now run along and play with your pinata!

  • @quercuslobata2 Tipical uneducated american! You start with racist bulshit because you re moron ...

One more thing... I live in EUROPE and HERE we dont party with PIÑATAS.

  • your Congressman spend too much time arguing ... instead of doing something about it ... hear me john bonehead

  • Our Congressman are not doing their job very well.. THEY SUPPORT IMPORTS NOT MADE IN AMERICA

  • It is getting harder and harder to find things made in the USA ! I watched the Michael Moore documentary, The Big One and it was appaling . THe CEO of Nike refused to have shoe factories in the US even though , at $2 billion a year salary, he admitted he never needed more $ . He had no problem with exploiting 14 yr olds in Indonesia - the corporate welfare and greed in this country disgusts me . The documentary showed that corporate welfare is triple that of state welfare to individuals .

  • There should be higher taxes for stuff being brought into this country. Give tax breaks for American made products. You don't get quality products when you buy foreign garbage.

  • This was going to be the MEALER TEA PARTY in 1992...

    mealer2012

  • hell nah. asmesliskas is kim kim. this is bullSh*t.

  • Thanks for buying American. Another company to think about - Brand of the Free American made t-shirts.

  • BULL ! we must buy American made or we will fall. One partial point the last post did happen to make was inefficient union, but that goes hand in hand with the lack of abillity to fight monopolies legally. Our laws do little or nothing to end industrial monopoly. Most obvious example? The big three auto manufacturers. The reasons for some of the laws we have are great but the laws don't do as intended. Only three auto manufacturers in our big nation? who is getting paid off for that?

  • People always do what is most profitable. Everyone is self interested, thats not going to change. Your missing the point that a business cannot profit if it doesn't give its customers the best product at the best price. Simply buying american made products does nothing but prop up inefficient unions, and leaves less money in the pockets of consumers.

America was the manufacturing up through the 60's and it had the highest wages. Do you honestly think people were less greedy then?

  • Its about time ABC jumed on board this important issue. You should do a weekly review of this to educate our people who have left education behind for the Television.

  • HOW CAN YOU TELL IF A PRODUCT IS REALLY MADE IN AMERICA? THE PRODUCTS CAN STILL BE MADE IN CHINA AND WHEN THE PRODUCT IS SHIPPED OUT AND BEING STOCK IN THE WAREHOUSE, THEY CAN JUST PUT A [MADE IN USA] TAG ON THE ITEM AND YOU WILL PAY MORE FOR IT TOO!! BESIDE WE AMERICANS NEVER PRODUCE FOR QUALITY AT ALL, WE ONLY PRODUCE FOR MASS QUANTITY

  • Stop over taxing and over regulating American business and they will be more competitive. Thanks the politicians for creating the circumstances that inspire this video.

  • @wmh1982 It has nothing to do with taxation rates. Germany has MUCH higher corporate tax rates and makes MUCH more (per captia) than the US. It has to do with the amount of control the PEOPLE have...not CORPORATE POWER!!

  • @fatmaggi 1st - corporations are made of people.

2nd your wrong - check german corporate tax rates on wikipedia. 30%

  • @wmh1982

You're right...the tax rate on wealthy is much higher than US, I misspoke.

Corporations are made up of people who, in the US, by law, MUST act to increase profit for shareholders, with all other considerations being secondary, or worse. Normal, rational people consider the well-being of others in their decisions, corporations do not do this unless it is profitable (short-term it almost never is). Corporations are an agreement, a contract...NOT PEOPLE.

  • @wmh1982

A little digging goes a long way. Germany, 2 years ago dropped it's corporate taxes by 10%. The manufacturing sector was humming along in Germany for many years before that (and actually dipped briefly in the past 2 years). If you're honest you'll know lower taxes for 2 years doesn't build a strong manufacturing sector...it takes decades with many factors in place. The US decline continues, despite lowering taxes. Besides, what major US corporation doesn't use loopholes to pay 0 taxes?

  • oh relax... any attention to the overall cause is good attention. You think becaus Lou Dobbs said it, everyone listened? You need to be repetitive! Dont be so defensive and support a good idea. BE POSITIVE and HELP CHANGE THINGS... bickering about it is just wasting valuable time

  • Gee! ABC & Diane Sawyer are just now getting around to reporting this? Lou Dobbs was reporting on the exporting of American job to CHINA & INDIA, and the importation of foreign workers & good into the USA. That was way back in 2004. Lou Dobbs repeatedly stated that if this persists the economy would tank in a few years. He was chastised and called a Protectionist by the Rs & Racist Ds. It's 7 years later here comes A Buncha Clowns & "Alke" Sawyer reporting this. My long term memory works!

  • @TheStudio2700 see my commoent. I double posted it.

  • That was very interesting. Globalization in progress would be an understatement. Perhaps we should all go back to buying LOCAL.

  • our company makes our products in the USA! Woo-Hoo!

  • love ABC's interactive map of companies that still make stuff in America. I'd like to see it expanded-- one map for each category: clothing, furniture, appliances, electronics, etc. It would be a useful tool for consumers if it were kept current and accessible whenever we're ready to buy something.

  • I have been on this issue since 1986 when i noticed jobs at or plant leaving for Mexico with the excuse that they could not make a profit here. My family is on the same page and always hunt for American products. We live here, where will our children work in the next 5 years. All i wear is made here also, even shoes. I pay a little more but My friends and neighbors are worth the extra.

  • i shop at the dollar store…i wonder how this is gonna go! Buy American Challenge---Let's do it. Trump 2012.

  • @mysecretyt Trump? Are you serious? LOL...Exact reason why all our crap is made in foreign countries. That guy would sell his own child if it would increase his bottom line.

  • @luvUtube247 maybe you should listen to him talk. His channel is trump. He loves America more than most.

  • Not much made in America anymore, to much of our industrial sector outsourced to other nations.

  • PLEASE PEOPLE HAVE SOME SENSE. the reason why its made in other places because companies wants cheaper labor...so dont blame the other countries blame the companies.. ok.

  • @XxChicoR3b3ld3xX Companies...and corrupt bought-off- us government for letting it happen...and lets not forget the monetary system that is robbing us INTO OBLIVION

  • OF COURSE THEY DRIVE AWAY IN A TOYOTA!!

  • Anyone else wondering what Spider Man was doing at 0:09

  • boycott Walmart, buy everything made in America.

  • that was insane. no wonder our economy is crumbling. hopefully, the Americans who invested their capital outside the U.S. using cheap foreign labor, can't brainwash most Americans to buy their north american free trade goods (NAFTA) from overseas, and that "protectionism is bad. Igor."

  • I can't wait!
