This is a "good band" but it absolutely blows me away to see the youth of today refer to it as the "Best band period"

Kids these days need to be properly informed of the great bands that came out before they were born. i.e. Led Zep, Floyd, The Dead, Rolling Stones... then onto the 90's with Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Tool, NIN.

Such a bold statement and so many "thumbs up" it's scary. Get educated children.

Heresy? Only to someone like you that thinks everyone should like a band because of technical mastery or because you grew up with them. I grew up with 3 CDs cycled in my CD player: Muse, Radiohead, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I think know, it's like a cliche to say that Led Zep or Floyd are better, these bands lived theyre own time. Times are changing, it's 2009 and lets live our own time. In my opinion Led Zep, Floyd and bands of that time were hope of music and in 21st century Kings of Leon is one of the band which gives hope that music wont become a big commercial pile of shit.
