One thing I learnt through all my years as a musician and while playing live is that even if the whole arena has only ONE person, even if it is a 8yo boy, an old lady with rheumatism or a bald, fat white-trash trailer ignorant man, you must never, EVER, stop playing with the same guts you would play if you had six thousand people watching you in pure silence. This has happened to me many times and it really doesn't mean I suck or I'm bad at what I do, it means people just don't care.
