  • This is old but would like to comment that neurological problems like this can happen due to injury (being thrown or dropped forcefully). Despite being flexible they have a very sensitive nervous system, please be gentle with your ferrets and observe your kids and other pets while they are around them.

  • Aww that's so sad. I hope he's okay.

  • Oh I'm sorry, I just read below that he passed.

  • whats neosporosis im adopting 2 ferrets soon:) cant wait sorry about ur ferrets :'(

  • Ok, need to give my fuzzies snugs now. :(

  • A lot of people won't keep ferrets with health issues, and they're such sweet animals! If you get a baby, put aside $10/mth so when it gets older you'll have some money saved. Also, check for rescues with local vets. I had three ferrets, one was a rescue, and Kaia was really darling, just given up by her owner and lived for over 3 years with me!

  • Well, I have two cancer kids right now and two with lung problems. I also run a rescue and have a great vet, thankfully. Glad you are knowledgeable in the ferret department. It is a rarity. :)

  • okay at first when i read this i thought your (if you have any) real kids had those probs haha but you must be really nice to care for them

  • what is this and how do they get it?is it something they catch or is it a genetic disease?

  • Is it in pain?

  • No, he wasn't in any pain.

  • Oh ok. You said "wasn't". Did the little sweet ferret pass? I think you're wonderful for taking a ferret like that, most people wouldn't. Damn nice of you.

  • I have a rescue. Yes, we eventually put him down as he had a bad turn and wasn't able to get around anymore as well as we felt he should. The vet and us felt it was best to go ahead and let him go. His brother had it too but he had to be let go as well. Both were two of the sweetest kiddos one could meet.

  • oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • oh my gosh that is so frkin sad.
