I don't know about you guys, but sometimes I like to listen to specific kinds of metal. Some days I like to listen to Progressive, some days Deathcore, some days Tech Death. Sometimes it helps to have labels, so you can just sort your music player by genre.

Don't be so worried about what to call the music you like. Just be happy that there are bands as talented as these guys, and enjoy listening. Labels were made by stupid people that put random words together and most of them don't accurately describe the music anyway. Remember when Alice In Chains was lumped into the "Grunge" genre. Yeah, their just a great rock/metal band.

Standard D with the top string tned to a G, thy get the top string from a 7 stringer and replace the top string on a 6 with it, hence why they can go so low.

for this songs it's drop c#... but they also play in standard d# and bomb tuned c# which is where the low c# is dropped to g#..
