@snooupii The game was out in 2007. You paid once,and you get the game. There were no unlockable weapons or hats. Now when weapons came out the only way to get them was random drops. The weapons are mostly pretty balanced. Most vanilla loadouts are still the most effective. Later a craft and trading system came out. But about when I joined tream fortress a mann conomy store was added. I got all the weapons without paying anything. Then tf2 got free to play. Now it's just 5 bucks for premium...

This is the highest quality FTP game out there, no questions asked.

I encourage anyone who hasn't played it to frickin' play it, it's the ONLY online team-based shooter I've ever played that just feels right. Everything from the game balance, to the character voices and the graphics are crafted carefully....unlike some profiteering FPS giants that shan't be named.

It didn't go FTP because it sucks....I dunno why it did, I guess it's just a marketing opportunity. But it's the smartest one yet

If you've played the game, there is something called Dead Ringer. I'm guessing what happened was Remo killed him while using dead ringer, and he ran behind decloaked and back stabbed.

Battleground Europe (wwii online) and Planetside just to name a couple. Both are run a single persistent world servers. TF2 is not a MMO not even in valves eyes.
