one main reason for conflict between these settlers and Natives, was that sleezy land speculators who sold "Undeeded" native turf to unwary whites! .St. Louis was an easy town to get fleeced in! it was full of opportunistic snakes waiting for naive country folk to show up! so if anyones kin from back then was killed by natives, some creepy white con artist is likely the cause!
THERE WERE NO SUCH HOMES EXCEPT FOR A FEW WEALTHY RANCHERS DURING THIS ERA IN THE "OLD WEST!"
