The guy lobbied his local government. What's the big deal? I'm serious. I'm not tying to be difficult. Really. Could someone explain to me why this is such a big deal?

One objection would be that he and a few others have been USED by lobbyists with agendas that are not connected to those of us who live here. I won't go into why the agendas of groups like NumbersUSA and FAIR offend my sensibilities. And, lobbying firms are not against the law. BUT when lobbying firms flood our local governing bodies with faxes and emails from Arizona and California, and force legislation that destroys our economy and our community. It is a big deal. And a sad deal
