  • Tits, i wanna shoot one now!!!

  • How much does it cost to shoot it?

  • That is a beautiful weapon.

  • The guy had prove that Thompson is better than MP40 and other SMG on accuracy. He did a good job shooting that thing right on the kill-zone of the target paper.

  • great video, looks like a lend lease 1928-A1.

  • Wow, that guy can control that gun very well. Thompsons are pretty heavy, which helps reduce recoil, but this is still very impressive.

  • Man the Baron's Den rocks, truly the best gun store/ shooting range in the Eugene area. Huge selection, helpful service. Hell, they've got several Barrett .50 Cal rifles---that's just plain fuckin' awesome.

Oh, by the way, I'm a gun-toting white liberal male who voted for Barack Obama.

I just bought a Mossberg 590A1 today, and I love it too.

  • Aparently you're also a moron.

  • @rangerdanger222

Aww, I'm sorry, does the idea of a black man being our president scare you?

  • @rangerdanger222

You're probably one of those poor fools who thought that Obama was going to "take away 'yer guns!"

How laughable. Obama hasn't enacted any gun laws or taxes, and all the people who thought he would now look like pathetic fools.

  • Naper, I'm not going to sit here and debate you on youtube. I will address your points and then that will be the end of this conversation. The political policies of Obama and his cronies are steering this country away from the principals of individual freedom and its associated responsibilities that America was originally founded upon to create a nanny state of spineless pussies incapable and unwilling to provide for themselves.

  • His socialist policies of wealth redistribution are the moral equivalent of armed robbery. Not to mention the complete debacle that has been made of the economy. This guy only got elected in the first place because all of the nutjobs came out of the woodwork to vote for him because he is black. Thats not racist its simply true.

  • The only reason Obama's administration is not more actively pursuing gun control is the fact that his polling numbers are so far in the toilet that he can't afford to offend anyone else. That's why you're seeing him abandon the political platform that he campaigned on and move closer to the right every day. Example: look at his reversal on the policy of off shore oil drilling.

  • @rangerdanger222

And, I find it important to note that the majority of Republicans such as yourself seem to magically ignore the fact that Bush got us in to this economic debacle in the first place.

Sure, his polling numbers aren't the greatest, but change hurts. People who live in fear, such as yourself, are terrified of any change whatsoever. Your fear is hurting this nation, time to grow up and realize that the future won't be a redneck paradise. The future is now, you've been phased out.

  • @rangerdanger222

It is cowards such as yourself that make me ashamed to be an American at times. The United States is the wealthiest nation per capita and you are afraid to share a little bit of that wealth with your countrymen to better the quality of their lives?

You would have preferred another old white republican in office? I can tell. People voted for Obama because he was something different than the status quo, which ran us into the ground and didn't look back.

  • @rangerdanger222

Sure, this country was based upon individual freedom, but it was also based upon helping your fellow American. The Republican agenda is one of 'dog-eat'dog', and it is really looking out for nobody in particular. The forefathers would be ashamed to see your mindset of ignorant self-preservation and cowardice. That's right, you sir are a coward, and you represent many other similar cowards. There is no nanny state, only your pathetic paranoia.

  • That'll do the trick.

  • naperking you better hide your shit from the man before they take it. you should probably read your american rifleman magazine, but you probably don't get it.

  • omg... i was just up in Eugene a few weeks ago visiting people... if only i would have known about this place while i was there.

im going next trip up to oregon lol.

  • Keep the change ya filthy animal. Hahaha. I am gonna have to find a class 3 dealer around here and go through the NFA paperwork and pay for the $200 tax stamp and get one for my self.

  • hell yeah

  • I bought the semi-auto version 1921 full weight. No recoil at all, very smooth. I also got the violen case for the gun, but I see in the video you have the 100 round barrel magazine recommended for full auto, you get 20 seconds of fire rather than the 50 round 10 sec.

  • Haha no kidding! Well put, Hero.

  • I rifk'd so hard on "You can't do this in California"...Well said!

  • why do people insist on arguing about the name of the gun? does it really matter at all? all of you people who make stupid arguments are dumbasses. sorry to say it, but its true.

  • its a tommy gun not thompson

  • John Taliaferro Thompson was born in 1860...

Thompson's new gun was a delayed blowback type feeding from a characteristic drum magazine... two pistol grips and a short butt. Thompson coined the term "submachine gun" but the press needed a term to catch the public fancy, and thus, the term "Tommy Gun" came into being. Auto-Ordnance actually registered "Tommy Gun" with the Trade Mark division of the Patent Office and this was even stamped on some guns. Important enough to argue about?

  • did this Thompson have the anti-recoil Nossle?

  • cldnt quite tell but it looked like it did

  • I don't know personally I have never fired one.

    I would like to someday.

  • It is a Thompson sub-machine gun. Tommygun for short.

  • no its a thompson just dumbasses like you call it a tommy gun.

  • no 1921 version is tommy gun which is this one

and 1945 version which looks a bit different.

  • ahh i learned something, i am sorry i called you a dumbass i feel like a dumbass now.

  • tommy gun is a nickname for the gun, not its factory name.

there are alot of different variants of the thompson submachine gun but none of them are actually called a tommy gun.

  • @tattanglias Tommy gun is short for Thompson sub machine gun which fires a .45 round.

  • haha his satisfied face in the end!! :D

  • There is nothing more badass! Well, almost nothing.

  • dam...i live in Cali, indoor gun ranges suck ass over here.

little bitches get mad if you do a 3 round burst with a 9mm

man...too many gun rules in Cali

  • Thats a tommy gun not a thompson WWII Machine gun

  • you can do this in california! lol you gotta have the 3rd class liscense

  • Definetly my favorite old-school sub-machine gun!!!

  • That the Orignal American Gangster gun

  • I would like to know the difference between this thompson and the soldiers of the Second World War, as it is a little different. :)

  • Yeah, this is the 1921 model shown. The M1A1 model was mainly used in WWII. It used a 30-round box magazine, and did away with the pistol grip. The charging handle was moved from the top to the right side and the sights were changed. It was also made cheaper to manufacture.

  • LMFAO! his look at the end.

    so satisfied. :L

  • the thompson doesnt have a bolt on top ! its on the side normally,on the ejector

  • they make both models i am not really sure why maybe the side bolt variant was a military issue in the second world war i would have to say i have seen more with the bolt on top and it looks like the ejector is on top of this one also

  • The WW2 M1A1 did, all others was on top of frame

  • ouch! sucks for the badguy...nice grouping though

  • now that is what i am talkin about when i say "overkill", my friend who shoots squrrels with a .50 BMG

  • i always had heard that these guns jammed up alot.. is it true?

  • I have never heard that these jam. So I cannot say one way or the other. I have never fired one myself.

  • The drums jam sometimes thats why the army went to the stick mags in wwii

  • I know it's called a tommy gun but what's the actual name of the gun?

  • 1928 Thompson Sub Machine Gun

  • I don't think so. Maybe it's just me, but I can hear this one has a much faste rate of fire, so this could be a Thompson M1921. But I'm not very shure.

  • That's a guy who knows how to have some fun!!

  • I Love This Goddamn Gun!

  • would it make sense to use this for home protection? How fast is it to load?

  • I would say a shotgun would be better. the oh shit factor would be high for eitherm but it takes alot to get one of them.

  • Shotgun is the best for home protection, or at least some think so, no I would say a fully auto .45 would tear your house to pieces and would be "overkill" to the max.

  • Hahaha, thats what makes it feel so right.

  • How to tell someone to shut the hellup real fast.

Load em with holes from a tomy gun =D

  • i need to move to oregon

  • I use this baby to pick off lone spiders in my house.

  • im stuck between a xd 9mm or glock 9mm

  • It's often a tough choice, and if you find something you don't like, then you regret your choice. The XD is really popular right now. At the Baron's Den you can rent a pistol to try out, you need to be a member or with a member, but it is nice to pre-shoot before buying. In Oregon you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun legally. You can legally own a handgun but not purchase one at 18.

9mm is a great caliber to shoot, the one I have is one of my favorite weapons, Firestorm 9mm.

  • Take the Glock 9. I think it's the best. It'll stop what you want it to stop, plus the reliability & mag storage if you need to keep firing. In Jo'burg South Africa it's the defensive weapon of choice. It won't jam or fuck up when u need it.

  • a 45 is the best, it's been proven. A 9mm will more than likely enter and exit the target, where a 45 will hit them like a ton of bricks.

  • 9mm was designed for war and it was designed to wound. The .45acp was designed to kill.

  • 9mm is more accurate too since it does break sound barrier plus it is easier to control.

45 doesnt break sound barrier but it is GUARANTEED to drop what ever it is you are shooting at!

  • This Thompson sounds meaner than some other vids I've seen even indoor ones.

  • I finally found out the price for shooting the Thompson. $40 and that includes 2 magazines, which could be 40-60 rounds, most likely 40. Then you can buy more ammo if you want. 40 rounds would be something like a 4-6 second pull of the trigger, approximately.

I am going to buy my nephew time on the Thompson. He would think he was in heaven.

  • With Tommy, the Capone's guys realy fucked up the guys of Moran duiring the Saint Valentine 's day Massacre.

  • nice music

  • damn i wish i lived in Oregon

  • Yeah, this place is awesome. I have an M1 Garand, A Mosin Nagat, A Lee Enfield, and a Colt .45 that my grandpa snuck back from WWII

They let u shoot pretty much anything you want

  • Hi. I've seen this video on you tube & one thing I'd like to do when we're on holiday in the USA is shoot a whole lotta different kinds of guns, one being the Thompson (oh and many more!). Can you tell me where this range is so we can put it on our list of places to see in the Good Ole US. Thanks

  • The range is about 2-3 miles south of Eugene, Oregon. It can be seen on the west side of the freeway just down from the Harley Davidson shop.

They have a huge American flag out front. You take the 30th ave. exit coming from north or south and the entrance to the frontage road has signs that say Barons Den.

  • man thats my fukin dream

  • wait..you can bring machine guns into indoor firing ranges? I cant bring my AK to any of the ranges around here (i live in michigan)

  • I'm sure they would let you shoot any legal weapon at the range. This video represents the Thompson you can rent at the range and fire under their supervision. This is a Barons Den video off of their web site.

  • Going to the Baron's Den this weekend to shoot my new Taurus .45 ACP. Same caliber as the Thompson but shoots a lot slower.

  • kill m all Babe.

  • When you have Douche Bags Like Diane Fienstine and Barbra Boxer. What do you think.

  • holy hell

  • it kinda resembles a ppsh...

  • I live in Phoenix, Arizona. The Desert basically. And I own a Barrett .50 Cal. The Beast. I call her. Anyhow, Arizona has one of the most leisure gun laws in the US. If you want to shoot a gun. Live here.

  • Always wanted a .50 Cal. rifle. When California outlawed the 50 the local gun shops had tons of them for sale. People brought them up here to Oregon to sell them.

  • I'm about to turn 18 and I plan on moving to Eugene in August. I was really worried about the gun laws until now.

You'll be seeing me there in the near feature!

  • Oregon has plain language in the state constitution that gives citizen's the right to own firearms. It is spelled out even better than the second amendment. So far that has protected us from extremists that would take our rights away.

  • im in califorina and shit so i cant shoot or get 1 :(...were is that shooting range at??

  • Eugene, Oregon. We are still holding on to our gun rights even though many are fighting to take them away. President Hussein Obama would take them all away nation wide, think we should vote for him??

  • fuck no if he's gonna take guns away and thx for the info..and can you buy that thompson??

  • Yes, I do.

  • shut up and go buy a silencer!lllll(laugh)

  • As a matter of fact, suppressors are legal in Oregon. One state that still supports gun rights.

  • You can get .50 cal ammo for around $1.50 a round plus shipping. .45acp will set you back around 70-80 cents a shot. In bulk maybe cheaper. I would want to reload my own if I was throwing them out with a Thompson! Once again this is NOT me. It's an ad for the Baron's Den in Eugene, OR and it is apparently a guy that works for them.

  • i would LOVE to do that but i know i never can as i am british.. this is one of the many reasons iw ish i was american

  • i have to try 1 of those!!!!!!

  • wow adcomamps, u wanna now how 7 ppl were killed on the Valantines Day Massacre? With a Thompson

  • officer down! officer down!

  • looks like you ar wearing lip stick HA HA HA

  • actually an ak 47 is an assault rifle so no shit u retard a tommy gun is a sub machine gun from wwII by the way my BAR could own ur little ak47

  • Haha yeah ok, a thompson, or tommy gun, shoots .45 cal and your brothers shoots 7.62x39mm....did u know that, and another thing, a thompson will shoot way faster than some crappy AK, they damn vietnamese learned the hard way back in Nam when they showed up with AKs n we showed up with M16s...all in all, AKs are crappy n a waste of money

  • dude a .50 cal costs a dollar. a tommy gun's .45 costs way less than that!

  • quit haunting with yore comments man its getting old ...

  • pwnt! lol. Great Video

  • That place is in Oregon, somewhere along I-5. I have driven by it several times, but I can't remember exactly where it is.

  • my new hero ;)

  • Definitely a waste of bullets, but what fun!

I stock up on bullets like I do toilet paper, need to go out and blast something this weekend, and waste a few bullets! Have a target with Hussein Obama's picture on the bulls eye!

  • way .45 hardcore. what a weapon.

  • Known as the "Chicago Typwriter" it was and is a devastating weapon.

  • I wish I of had a Thompson instead of that shitty M-16 when in the Army. It will make a difference whereas the '16' can't.

  • why did u eplay a part in it ?

  • Do they still sell those ?

  • They might get you one of the semi-autos for in the $700 range, but you need a Federal license to buy the full auto. I'm sure they could order one if you had the license. The cost of a full auto would most likely run well over $1000. They have the license and can allow you to shot their weapon, under their supervision and at a price. The whole thing does not take very long unless you want to do short burst, but most people love the chance to hold down the trigger and get the tommy gun feel.

  • what if you are in law enforcement aint it easier to get autos?

ALSO how do you get this "license"

cause when im older im hopping to get a tommy gun auto perfered or a colt m4a1

    either one =D

  • It is possible that if you are ex military or an police officer you might have to jump through less hoop? I do not know.

I found some accurate information about what it takes to legally own a fully automatic weapon. It is a Class III federal license and the fee is basically a $200. a year tax. The BATF has many hoops to jump through and strict rules after that, but if you have a a squeaky clean record and don't mind the BATF watching you all the time...

  • It's strictly about your own Criminal Record, or lack thereof, and approval from your local Law Enforcement. However, keep in mind that if the Chief of Police or Sheriff in your area says says "no" to your ownership, you're SOL. Move away and try again, I guess. Your $200 fee is lost though.

  • Nope,it doesn't, or at lest shouldn't, make it any easier if you are an LEO to get Class III weapons. In fact, in States like CT, even LEOs cannot have "assault weapons", the category which includes even semi-auto AR-15s and just about everything else like that.

  • Yeah, you could say that a full-automatic Thompson is well over $1,000.. About $12-14k the last time I saw any for sale. Prices went insane after both the Brady Bill and Assault Weapons Ban were enacted - even though the ownership of Class III weapons was not effected by either change in Law except in sale prices.

  • I loved shooting this gun in georgia...its so fun

  • my bad i was thinking about the grease gun... which is even worse because im looking and a tommy not a thomp!

  • Were you using the 9mm or the .45 shells?

  • This is an advertisement off The Baron's Den web site. SHHH(Don't tell them I used it, they might not like it?) I believe all they use is the .45 ammo. and that guy is probably some guy that works at The Baron's Den. Great place they sell a lot of .50 caliber guns that came up from California after they were banded there. Love to have one of those!

  • well done old man! nice shot...

  • FUCKING REDNECKS

  • KICKS ASS

  • .45 caliber rules.

  • Really nice grouping

  • they can pick up my guns at the mortician's office, cause thats the only way they'll get them

  • now i see why the mobsters, the brits and US army used these

  • wow

  • nice grouping. it takes a real marksman to shoot a recoil loaded gun like that

  • Gun Laws in CA is sucks! thats why im getting so paranoid to register some of my babies. coz they might take em away

  • If we are all lucky the Supreme Court will throw out the insane Washington, DC gun ban and that will open up the real possibility that other states can regain their constitutional right to own firearms.

  • america... i still prefer to solve my problems with my fists

  • the hell with that man

  • I live in canada and you can't do that here either! luckily i have fired a Thompson at a range in Florida and that is just about the most gratifying thing you can do! if there's ever a zombie apocalypse I want a 1928 model with a 100rd drum!

  • They are trying to take our gun rights away all over the world and I hear Canada is one of the worst.

  • I shouldn't complain too much, i don't think its as bad in canada as in england or australia. i own rifles and shotguns but you have to have a license to buy them (and ammo too), you need a another license if you want to have a handgun and its virtually impossible to own a full auto unless you were legally licensed for them before 1998. Every gun in canada is supposed to be registered with the gov't but there are a lot of non-compliers and that law might soon be gone too. hopefully.

  • i hope so cause i got a desert eagle thats i have been itching to fire

  • dude zombie apocalypse with a tommy gun awsome

  • fucking awful idea, stick with a rifle, carbine, shotgun

  • sweet love to do that

  • that's in eugene oregon!

  • SMILE!

  • if that target was real he would be dead

    in 2 seconds

  • true ownage!!!

  • Hells yeah!

  • fuckin lame who cares if you shot a gun you didnt even shoot a real person

  • ARE YOU RETARTDED GO TO COUNCELING

  • Go listen to some more nigger music.

  • go to both!

  • No wonder why you guys always miss when attempting those drive-bys, no training!

  • It has sick recoil.

  • aim for the head!!

  • Where was this at? Can I buy one of those?

  • I found some accurate information about what it takes to legally own a fully automatic weapon. It is a Class III federal license and the fee is basically a $200. a year tax. The BATF has many hoops to jump through and strict rules after that, but if you have a a squeaky clean record and don't mind the BATF watching you, it's not all that impossible.

You can purchase a Thompson semi auto for less money and hassle. I believe they are around $1200. for a cheap one.

  • I'm actually hoping to find a full auto one. I want that same model in that video. Do you know how long it takes to register a fully automatic firearm, and also, where in specific can you even purchase a full auto firearm? Your conventional store probably won't right? Is there like some federal agency that stores them lol?

  • You get machine guns from a class 3 dealer. Call your local gun shops and ask, they will know who the class 3 dealers are in your area. Then you go to the class 3 dealer and he should give you the forms to send with the 200 bucks you also have to send to the BATF to pass a background check and several months later you will get your approval if you pass the background check. Then the class 3 dealer can legally sell you the machine gun of your dreams, just be prepared to go broke buying one.

  • i think they may have got some of the AA12 design from the tommygun

  • Could that target have been any closer?

  • Yeah I know, but to be fair the video is just for demonstration. When you pay to fire the gun you can put the target back as far as you like.

  • ouch

  • which do u think is better the chicago tommy gun or the WWII tommy gun?

  • its gotta be the chicago tommy gun

  • yeah the chicago one holds more ammo

  • The "Chicago" gun by far (the T1, T5, and T1SB)...The WW2 gun (the TM1, TM1C, and M1SB)couldnt accept the 50 and 100 round drum magazines, they could only accept the 30 round sticks!...I have no idea why they did that, but its true...By the way, the drum magazine you see in the video here is the 50 round drum....I know this because the 100 round drum on my Tommy gun is much bigger than the one on the gun in the video...

  • I love my Tommy gun, I wouldnt trade it for anything!! Now all I need is a 1930's car and a pinstripe suit...

  • Its the only gun you can look cool while firing from the hip!

  • tommy gun may look cool firing from the hip but so does a RPK!!

  • That is a lot telling smile he had on his face after shooting... he liked it!

  • Ya used to be able to do this in all (48) states until the Fed. gov't robbed each and every one of us in 1934 and nobody did a thing to stop it...

  • Your average citizen maybe believes in the second amendment, but they don't own a gun and don't want to own a gun. They only know what scares them and loud automatic weapons scare them. Just like the "assault weapons" ban was all about what the weapon looked like, that was stupid and that is why it is gone! Public ignorance about weapons and what is good and bad is one of the most dangerous things the anti-gun people have against law abiding gun owners.
