Forms of governance like 1. Communism ( all property belongs to the governing power , no liberty of choice and no religion-grouping) 2.Democracy 3. Aristocracy .....THESE are of EUROPEAN origin.....,,,, why not INVENT an engine of power of your own??? like say a CONCOCTION of both property ownership and labor choice ...the rural-Agriculture is FREE but the CITY-urban economics is GOVERNMENT owned even its labor force assignments....
the ausi and chinese korean and jap are exploiting laos for their minerals good and the laos gov is allowing them to take advantage of the people and it country how sad is that.... laos gov needs to stand up and do somthing beside getting bride from the foriengers..... its people are starving yet other countries getting rich how sad is that .....
The trip will be more easier when the Mekong bridge across the Mekong River to Khong Island is completed, about in two years: Laos Voice News on 5 May 2010.
If you are looking for the crowd of falangs like in Vientiane don't come to Pakse. If you like to see the crazy drug induced and intoxicated falang like in Vang Vieng don't come to Pakse.
If you want to see how real Lao live, come to Pakse. It is very quiet little town. Not much to do. There are many tourist sites but it is 30 min to 1 hours or more out of town. You will not see all the luxury you see in Vientiane. I was there and I like it. Vientiane crowd and traffic is just too much for me.
I have been to Laos three times but always the north. This part of the country looks fantastic with almost no tourists. My friend who lives in Vientiene says that a full month and you will only scratch the surface.
I was from Ban Don Sa Dam khong district .Don Sa dam will have the electricity by the early 2010 and the Hydro power dam expecting to be build and complete by 2014
Went back for the first time in november 2008 it was so peaceful and relaxing my family is from the south so we spent most of our time in pakse and paksong great video
