  • i m happy if my laptops live 2 years, Then its a new one, what the heck

  • I have a noise with mine too. Yours sounds like you need to download the 'mirror' widget and run it for a workaround, I forget why it works, try it

  • Oh! That sound is on every web cam! It's on my MacBook too! My dad's HP has that! My phones camera has that noise! I don't know why it makes the noise though!!!!!

  • @FASSY524 Maybe lousy web cam syndrome..

  • you bought a macbook why ?? Because of the OS ? or the look ? Hardware....

Buy Dell, Install OSX, Save some money.

  • blah blah look at you. you know what a hackintosh is. clap clap bravo. shut the fuck up.

  • Ryerson University eh ?

Sounds like uve had the apple in ur mouth for quite some time eh ? EH ?

  • this made no sense...

  • omg this guy is very very sexy

  • Oh... I forgot to mention... I cut off the noise editing on Adobe Soundboot... But It's so boring. I hope to find a solution.

I see your new videos don't have this problem. So, what are you doing now to solve the noise?

  • Hi,

I've been messing around with so many sound editors that it just ruined the fun of using my laptop to make a video.

So the recent change that I've made is that I started recording with an external mic. Which solves most of my problems, but I still have to plug a mic into my laptop which is sorta annoying but works for the moment.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • I sent my Macbook to Apple Support, and they are fixing this. It's still in warranty. They said it's a problem in a board I don't remember wich one... :P So, they are removing the old, to put a new piece.

  • Mmm, thats something apple didn't tell me. Let me know the results, i'd be eager to mention this in an apple store. Though mines out of warranty and if its expensive I think I'll just live with the problem until its time for a new macbook.

  • Hi Jake...

Well I have a white MacBook and, yes, I have this same problem.

I made some tests and it's not a problem with microphone, because it works fine, really fine, on garage band and iChat, etc.

It's something related to the camera... I am searching on web about it. Anything I get, I'll let you know.

    Hugs,

    Tati, from Brazil :D

  • EXACT same problem on my Mac. Apparently it has something to do with the amount of light in the room and the camera being unable to focus? There's a (possibly temporary) solution video somewhere on YouTube, but I've noticed the noise in bright rooms, too.

  • It is defective, hopefully you have Apple Care, I returned my Black MacBook for just this issue.

  • does the sound come from the microphone??

  • umm same problem.

turning input level up makes it louder.... someone please find the answer to this problem or how to fix it.

  • hello

I have a mac, but don't have this problem - if you just call apple they are usually very happy to help you with your problems and how to resolve them (did you get an apple care plan?)

  • hey man, this same thing just happened to me,

did you find out what happened?

  • hit it with a sledge hammer, that otta fix it up good, pretty sure it'll stop that noise ^_^

  • i agree macbooks are quite sexy looking ;)

  • Hey, did you ever figure this out? I just switched from a macbook pro without this problem to a macbook and it has the exact same problem. Doesn't happen during skype or ichat, only when recording. WTF?

  • If not for this video I would not have noticed! Strange indeed!!

  • Until then try to cover it up with a little bit of background music. it's not that bad.

  • maybe it is due to the speakers being on. It is like a cricket or something.

  • the macbooks microphone interferes with the built in isight, a shame really.

  • at least other people have the same issue, nothing more irritating than "do you hear that?"

"nope i don't hear anything" "listen...there is a ringing.." "nope still don't hear it" sorry to chuckle at your peril..hope someone can help ;) take care, shannon

  • Yeah, Macs do work better with video editing than Windows. I still have Windows, but I am hoping that someday, I will get a Mac - just to edit videos and art work.

  • You could always use a separate microphone.

  • imac! freck ye anyways!! i want 1

    great video lad

    =]

    -niall

  • theres no way to fix it practially all web cams do that some have louder noises than others but seriously dont worry about

  • Mine does that too. :(

  • I just got my macbook too and I have the same problem with the noise. Not a clue how to fix it but a friend of mine works at an apple store so I should be finding out soon.

  • At least Im not on my own here, if you hear of anything would you mind passing on the word on what to do?

  • so what happened to that friend who went to the apple store about the isight problem he had?
