If you really think that the hosts' reactions are genuine or even for the trick at hand, you are as gullible as the execs want you to be. I've worked in reality TV for years. It sucks, I would love to quit (but it's a paycheck), and 95% of it is created by one person (the editor).

Just watched the un-edited version.

This is what crucial step happens at 1:00 that they cut from TV. After putting the upper half on the cart, they wheel the legs off stage. Then come out with a fake set of legs they place next to the torso. They wheel the torso and the legs off stage, too. Wheel back out ANOTHER actor playing the doctor, who is positioned to make it look like his legs are separate from his torso. This might be the same guy who played the legs. Readjustment, and presto.

This illusion is BS for a few, but significant reasons.

1) They start the trick (yes, Gob, it's a trick) with the doctor already onstage. The contortionist is bent over, with his/her torso in the operating table. The man without his legs/lower torso is resting on top.

2) What a convenient cut at 1:00. Suddenly the "legs" are separated from the table without us seeing.

3) This video has so many cuts to the judges...show us an un-edited, single shot version and then we'll be in awe.

Well it certainly doesnt help that they keep 'cutting away' ;) to the judges - ALLOT. Not only is it pointless in view of the subject matter, that being we want to watch the magician, but it seems to positively contribute somehow to the "success" of the illusion. In other words...THEY DID SOMETHINGS WHEN THE CAMERA WAS OFF OF THE SUBJECT. Remember, every microsecond of ANYTHING you watch on TV is PLANNED AND REHEARSED. EVERY SMILE, EVERY YES NOD.
