Finlandia, is a beautiful piece written in protest of the Roman Empires censorship. Though I'm an American it displays my values and the founding values of the United States more clearly than our own anthem. It is inspiring; the desire to be independent, discontentment with servility, the price of freedom, and rising against adversity.

I cannot approve of taking a piece like that and appending lyrics to it about accepting and gleefully enduring suffering under the virtue of servility.

Be still my soul is one of my most favorite hymns! Ironically it was sung today at my church as well while we were learning about trials and struggles of the early members of our church. But there is one way to overcome those trials and that is by faith and prayer in Christ! because all trials give us experience and knowledge for later in life.
