  • the 757 isnt that big...

btw did the pilot give the finger? That would have been funny!

  • Your subtitles really made the vid. Loved it mate :D

  • so...did your wingwalkers not see the truck, or what? aren't they supposed to be watching out for these kinds of things?

  • @mikeymike1968 No, my wing walker saw the truck, but the truck driver obviously saw neither the wing walker, nor the massive airplane that was pushing back.

  • It would be the same feeling in a car. I remember b4 ramp took over r&d a mx pushing a 319 hit a loaded 67 at lax. That was funny after it happend no one was hurt I think it was a wing tip

  • Julio your a idiot, all aircraft have right of way on a airfield, regardless if the jet is under tow or not, when the becan is on everyone yields, if that truck hit the

Jet it would have been the fuel trucks fault, u can remove the bypass pin prior to disco if the nose gear is straight but it's a no no at F9.

If a emergency stop is preformed like in this video, depending on how hard he stopped you can feel it in the cabin, you prolly would have felt it on this push... Nice work push driver

  • When the tug stops hard like that what is the sensation inside the aircraft? can the passengers sense the sudden / julting stop?

  • Why Can't some of the crew understand the importance of their jobs? They don't realize how important it is and how one mishap can lead to a tragedy.

  • What do you mean you "saved 175 lives"? If you had hit that truck, It would had been your fault. Yeah, he was wrong, but you were ultimately in control of the push, that's company policy. You did what you were SUPPOSED to do; before rampers took over the pushbacks at United, you guys would do exactly what that moron did, do you remember? You need retraining, because removing the gear pin with the bar between the nose tires is a no-no, your co-worker could have been injured. But you know that..

  • @JulioRocksYouToo Whoa, pal. Slow the hate train. Firstly, I'm not in charge of when the wing walker pulls the pins, that's up to him. There is no "go ahead and take the pins out" hand signal. Second, by your comment referring to rampers as "you morons," I'm going to go ahead and assume you're some bitter mechanic. So I'll tell you straight: The last pushback accident I recall is when a MECHANIC pushed a 757 into a CRJ. And lastly, the "saving 175 lives" was a touch of sarcasm. Grow up.

  • dude great video!

  • Funny! You should have yelled at the fuel truck driver to back up fast because you are not going to stop. I don't mean it, but it would be funny if it wasn't so serious. I hope that driver got chewed out.

  • nice save, i cant believe a idiot driving a fuel truck full of exploitable gas would have ran into the wing with other exploitable gas , did the marshaller even catch it? what airport and ramp do u work at?

  • only using one wing walker? that would have been the fault of United also

  • stupid ass wing walker is equally to blame

  • SFOCG great funny clip, I would of kept on going scare the fueller even more, and probally get a level. j.k. LIHOZ next time just use 6 th gear, j.k. again ;)

  • nice you saved the day!!!

  • Nice Push Back!

  • i think airport workers deserve better protective equipment especially for their lungs. They should be given breathing mask filters as airports have alot of jet fuel fumes and the air at airports is very dirty and polluted. THey should really have breathing mask filters. often you see them not wearing any kind of gloves to protec there skin either or clothign that sheilds them from direct sunglight

  • @1982FMJ as matter of fact i can speak for rampers we are given protective gear like masks and gloves and whatnot but idk bout other airlines but for the airline i work for most ppl just dont like wearing protective gear dont ask me why but i guess they dont look forward to a future healthy living :/

  • @thehtgrts people who fuel the airplanes are exposed to alot of petrol vapours of large amounts. when they removed the fuel hose alot of vapours escape. i have seen aircraft fuelers cough really badly as they remove the nozzles. the wors thing is the deicing cranes lift that are not enclosed. the ones that are enclosed are better as they protect the operator from deciing fluid patricles.

  • ah yeah we like playiing with each other in here oh shit that a plane pushinback. u dumbfuck whatch out.i used to do push years ago. quite fun. playing football and having snowball fights in the winter in msp! goodtimes yeah ;)

  • how come atc didn't stop them

  • hahahaha this was really funny! It was great!!!

  • You're Awesome! Haha

  • normally I don't like annoying subtitles, but these one rocked! Awesome Vid & Subtitles! :D

-just a pity though that I can't hear your communication with the pilot..

  • Do you enjoy working for united?

  • What gear are you pushing in? I push the airbus at DEN for F9.. nice save btw.. i gotta push vid on my profile tpo

  • @playj2 We push in 3rd.

  • @473271 you know disconnecting that towbar like that is a big no no, but its okay everyone does that always need a quick turn :D

  • @SkyWestCRJPilot No it's just a joke. :) Of course the pushback tug only has brakes, but reversers and spoilers would be pretty cool too.

  • @473271

They [spoilers and reversers] would really be very useful in a sitation like that.... hahaha!

  • ahahaa!:D

i wonder if u pushed me back in auguust like gate 94 777 SFO-LHR cant rem flight number it was on 26th august 2009

  • No I rarely worked international flights, I was usually on domestics. I bet you I know the guy that pushed you though. :)

  • @473271 Hey do you know who the Captain of that flight was?

  • ***DUMBASS AWARD DUMBASS AWARD*** the to idiots in the fuel truck come on down and claim your dumbass award...dumbass! ha

  • I have a friend that works at an airport in Toronto Canada. He told me once that there is supposed to be two people (I think he called them wingwalkers...?) when an airplane is being pushed back. I only see one in the video. If there needs to be two people at the roadway to stop traffic, and there is only one, who's fault is it really? (in my opinion the crew pushing the plane back it partly to blame)

  • United's policy is 1 wingwalker. And 1 wingwalker is more than capable of stopping traffic, providing the driver is paying attention. A second wingwalker would not have helped in this situation. If the driver of the truck didn't see a huge airplane moving he sure wasn't going to see one person.

  • @473271

Too bad you guys didnt give the fuel truck guys the finger

  • here at msy when NW was at "A" gates us air was also on "A" we had a blind corner and a few times I would be wing walking out our DC9's an A320's and here comes an EMB flying around the corner or even worse Atlantic Fuel truck. Heck one day we had a moron from WN on "B" gates turn a plane right around facing our ramp and we got a jet blast..so the next day I pushed out a plane facing them an gave them a taste of jet blast.

  • Love this, thanks. Makes me grateful we only push straight back at DEN. Gives me plenty of time to stop when someone is spacing out like the fueler. Usually it's the employee bus, though, so we'd just take out a plane and a bunch of UA and UAX employees.

  • Sounds like a good way to move up the seniority list. :)

  • im not sure but i think its a felony to go out on the tarmac and tip you guys.

  • Somebody has been around the jet fuel fumes too long!! I would love to know what he was thinking. I used to work on the ramp, things can get pretty crazy but you have to constantly be paying attention for those kinds of things.

  • Lmao...Funny Quotations

How much power is the truck your driving making(if you know) and what is that yellow line for?

    Great Vid. =]

  • The yellow line on the ground is what airplanes use to taxi

  • The only thing I ask from baggage people is that they don't put my bag on the ground in a puddle or the snow... I hate when my bag is wet.

  • Great Video, I had a catering truck do the same to me on a 757 pushback, ended up with about 6 feet of clearance when I came to a stop, pilot let them have it! I miss my days at UA. Keep posting.

  • We have some moron drivers here as well. I was pushing a 321 out of an end-gate, this guy in a fuel truck came flying around the corner and drove right behind the plane...THEN he noticed that we were pushing back. I stood on the brakes, he cranked the wheel left and damn near flipped his truck. I have never heard a captain so pissed off as the one on that plane. A couple of weeks later, we repeated the event, this time with a Servisair guy pulling ULDs.

New vids are pretty sweet btw.

  • wow this happened to me last year when i was leaving sfo

  • Huh,good one,it must be wierd being the people in the 757;)
