@FriedChickenofDeath6 Vikings with horns mounted on their helms is a myth. They did not have mounted horns and it is only stupid americans who's overdoing it as usual. Most vikings probably didnt even wear a helmet except for the jarls. Hell, there's only one known example of a found viking helmet.

Also, this game barely has any similarity with the vikings and the norse mythology, it's just a blown-up american cliché.

@Hellstenen The Viking horn myth has nothing to do with American imagery. The myth began with Greek and Roman historians (known for their penchant for hyperbole), then in the 1800's, you had several prolific European artists such as Gustav Malmström (a Swedish painter) and Wilhelm Wagner (famous German composer who wrote "Flight of the Valkyries") introducing Vikings with horned helmet imagery into popular consciousness. So no, you get to blame "stupid" Europeans for this one.

Indeed. The vikings mostly had leather caps and some had metal helmets. And ofc. There's a lot who didn't have any helm at all!

Not to mention the same "mail" armor. The basic infantry in the viking army had leather armor. Mail was far too expensive to produce. Yet, the nobles had mail armor.

Love this game! The whole setting and story is very cool and very fresh. Though the game definitely has some weaknesses (e.g. no proper tutorial) I think they should continue the franchise to make it even better =D

Not really, you control a single character and sometimes you have your army face off the army of demons. Also, combat feels more real, like his sword and axe are really heavy and opponents really slow you down. In the LOTR games, you just hack your way through mobs, never being slowed. I played LOTr games and Viking, I prefer Viking
