It's interesting how many pilots, flying aircraft designed to fly high in the sky , can't resist flyinf below the treetops. I'm one of them also. For a good river run, check out under "Moyes Dragonfly" --- "River Run". It's not me on the video unfortunately.
Come on now... Unless you're back-seating in a F-18, We could do without the cheap music... It would have been nice to hear what the engine was doing during the flight.
Blow into a microphone really hard and record it.. Turn off the music and play your recording on repeat. That's exactly what it sounds like and unfortunately all open design aircraft are the same. Nothing to hear as the rotor and engine is drowned out by the air. Gimme the cheap music for these types but let me hear the motor in closed ones.

Man that's so cool.. makes me smile when I watch it. That has to be the most liberating and free feeling. As I watch this I think to myself "Man that guy could just turn and fly over the trees , there's no where he can't go!" Thanks for posting this! Email me the cost of one, or how much you put into your copter at my youtube account. I have money saved up to buy 2 good editing systems, but I might just buy a gyrocopter instead. Do you have to get your pilots license?
How long time wise on a full tank (what size tank) ?

That looks pretty damn fun. WIsh I wasn't an aircraft technician, and know all the stuff that can go wrong. Too chicken to fly this kind of stuff.

Yeah, I agree. I'd rather have crappy natural sound for a video like this than the cheesy music track.

Gyros are noisy and slow (and awesome). Most birds can get out of the way.
