im thinking about getting a dell computer which has a ati 4850,3g ddr3 ram,23'' monitor, intel core i7 920 2.66ghz. Does anyone have a computer similar to this and how does it run with games like cod4?
If your spending around 900 then go with the xion 630 watt psu, its around 50 at microcenter. Has 2 pci-e power connectors in case u ever wanna go crossfire. Ive had it for about 6 months no trouble
I'm going to buy stuff to build an whole new comp, this graphic card and other shit it's gonna be around 900$, can't wait to play cod4 (: any sugestions on an cheap, good power (450W or over)?
about if your gonna get a good card make sure you pc is pci express compatible and then buy like a nvidia 8600 or nvidia 8800 unless you have a big budget then deffinitly go with the ati radeon 4850 best card iv'e ever owned

im noob whats overlocking and what does dual core do
Tf2Sn 3 years ago
in a nutshell
overclocking - making the cpu or whatever you want to overclock run faster than the product was originally designed to run at.
dual core - CPU that can do 2X more processing than a single core..

thanks :)

Ok guys im thinking of getting a budget system for gaming:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 3.1 GHz Processor,
MSI K9A2 Platinum Motherboard,
4 Gigs of Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Speed Gaming Memory,
HIS Hightech Radeon HD 4850(OC to 685/2200),
Western Digital 500 Gig 7200 RPM Hard Drive,
Cooler Master 650 Watt Power Supply,

why dont you overlock your CPU to 3ghz, i think its easily possible on the E2200
YazNbk 3 years ago
i'll overclock when I get a Core2 Quad Q6600 CPU in a few weeks. Those are also very good for overclocking.
