Yet he still had an intangible impact, that of which Kobe and hence the Lakers thrived from. I remember watching those Laker game vividly and don't recall Kobe having an impact as much as I remember Horry, Fisher, and Fox having that impact.

Kobe did only shoot 36.7% in 00 finals but he wasn't fully a top notch player in the nba yet so i don't take that quite too seriously. In 01 finals he only shot 41.5%, 02 finals he had a great shootin % makin 51.4%. 08 finals he shot 40.5%, 09 finals 43% not too too bad. 2010 finals shot 40.5% the same % in the 08 finals. Whereas this video shows what I saw of Shaq in crunchtime....contrary to those "Finals MVPs". When he was in his prime with the pistons not the bulls like i he didn't get all nba D 1st or 2nd in 97 or 98 so he wasn't the defender he used to be. I never said Rodman wasn't important but they did pretty good when he wasn't playin. @mikeisnumber1 Also in the 97 playoffs Rodman who is no longer the defender he used to be & the only other thing he's known for is to get rebounds only avg's 8.4 in the playoffs & 7.7 in the 97 finals but the bulls still won in 6. In 98 playoffs an even older Rodman avg'd 11.8 rpg in the playoffs but in the 98 finals alone he only avg'd 8.3 rpg but yet again the bulls won in 6. Haha

@mikeisnumber1 In 96 Rodman missed 18 games & the bulls went 15-3 without em, 97 Rodman misses 27 games & the bulls went 21-6 without em, in 98 Rodman misses 2 games & the bull went 2-0 without em. So he missed a tot of 47 games & the bulls went 38-9 without em. So they did pretty well without em. Also i would love to mention Rodman was well past his prime & he didn't even get all nba D 1st or 2nd team in 97 or 98 so he wasn't the defender he used to be in the last 2 ring seasons.

McMillan played his most mins with 21 in game 5 throughout every game in the series & G.Payton guardin Jordan in game 5 & game 5 was Jordan's best shootin game for the entire series (11-22, 50fg%) haha.

@mikeisnumber1 Yes McMillan was hurt for most of the series but he was just a bench player while Harper who was the bulls's startin PG was injured durin games 3-5 & he only shot 37.5% for the series. So Kerr was playin more & he only shot 30.3% from the field plus 18.2% from 3pt land. The sonics had the bulls in fg%, 3pt%, & ft% for the entire series yet the bulls won in 6 haha. Also it ain't Jordan's fault that George Karl didn't put G.Payton on em until g4.

@jimbergalerg When Jordan was his prime he was makin more than half his shots in the finals. 55.8, 52.6, 50.8 in 91-93. Kobe did only shoot 36.7% in 00 finals but he wasn't fully a top notch player in the nba yet so i don't take that quite too seriously. In 01 finals he only shot 41.5%, 02 finals he had a great shootin % makin 51.4%. 08 finals he shot 40.5%, 09 finals 43% not too too bad. 2010 finals shot 40.5% the same % in the 08 finals. Haha wait i just looked Jordan shot 41.5% in 96 my bad.

But also put into perspective that Jordan was 33-35 in those finals against the great D team in the sonics & jazz, Jordan was not the same player he was in his prime. Kobe's not even a that age yet. But the teams Kobe has gone up against great D teams too. 04 pistons, 08 & 10 celtics. The difference is Kobe was in his prime in 04 when he shot 38.1

I added on that 96 finals father's victory about Jordan being emotional of his dad dying cuz of the reason y he left to go play baseball cuz his dad died, its a known thing. @mikeisnumber1 Well gasol came by trade durin the season. Rodman came b4 the season. Rodman in 95-96 missed 18 games & jordan went 15-3 without em. Gasol does more for the lakers then what rodman did for the bulls. Rodman was never an all star for the bulls & he was past his prime.

That was durin the preseason & he was with the team & his dad died durin august of the same yr. U just said Barkley was better then Nash they play different positions. Yeah notice how when Kobe decided to be the team's leader > Shaq in 2003 & their 3peat was done & they were upsetted by the pistons in 2004. Bynum is one of the best centers in the league dude the only reason y he doesn't put up big numbers is cuz he has Kobe, Gasol, & Odom on his team. The lakers have the highest payroll in the nba right now, they r stacked.

If he wasn't then the lakers would of won the nba finals in 2008 when Bynum wasn't there. Then Bynum improves the past 2 seasons & the lakers win. That's 2 outta 3 years Kobe was clearly the Go To Man in the 4th Quarters.....He was also a better defensive player with more defensive "accolades".
Kobe carried the Lakers in the 4th.....Shaq does'nt have the skillset to carry a team in crunch time...
Kobe = More valuable.....that's why back 2 back without Shaq.

Playoff's Shaq - 29PPG 13 reb 3ast.....Kobe 27PPG 6reb 5ast....
...4th quarters for the 01 - 02 playoff's combined...Kobe averaged 8.6 ppg on 43%, 96% on FTs ... Shaq averaged just 5.1 ppg on 31%, 68% FTs

2000 - Shaq took over 100 more shots in the Playoff's then Kobe....Kobe was 1st team all defense ( Shaq never made 1st team all defense) Kobe again was the main option in the 4th quarters.

Kobe was clearly the number one option in crunch time (Kobe averaged 10.5 ppg on 62% shooting in fourth quarters. Shaq averaged 6.5 ppg on 32%)....and he clearly was their best player against the best team.Kobe - 33ppg 7ast 7reb vs the Spurs (Shaq said Kobe was the best allaround player in the NBA after the series was finished)

Kobe played both ends terrifically being on the All-Defensive 1st Team and All-NBA First team. He was also an All-Star pretty much his whole career.
