It's been such a while since I saw this on YouTube, I remember liking it. Dracula's dialogue sounds really corny, and that monster make up on the Frankenstein monster looks ugly. I hope to find it on DVD sometime, it's way better then the Michael Rennie film.
INteresting how Frankenstein, created by man; is such an ugly and violent creature; but dracula who sucks blood out of humans like a VULTURE and is undead; is portrayed as a handsome and seductive creature: Isn't that telling you something group Nevermore.
yo, i heard the director of this movie, was killed & buried within the cement & tile of his bathroom floor or some shit like that, this movie sucks, turns out this guys death was probably more fascinating then his movies
That's a great edition, I think it's out of print now. I know what you mean about Chaney Jr. Its odd to think that he and J Carrol Naish--the old guy in the wheel chair with the chattering dentures in this film--both starred together in House of Frankenstein back in the '40s!
He's played by Roger Engel, who used the Stagename Zandor Vorkov, doesn't surprise me he got to be Dracula since he probably bankrolled the film and was a "real vampire" in his day job: A Stockbroker

Um, no. I just watched a special edition of this and the director does a new intro. He's alive.
The worst thing about this movie for me was seeing Lon Chaney Jr. in the advanced stages of alcoholism. Damn did he look bad.

I believe that commentary is by Sam Sherman, not Al Adamson (the director). Is that the edition that has an inteview with Forrest J Ackerman?

Like at least we can sit through this and enjoy it and remember it, even if it defies all logic and common sense.

That's J. Carrol Naish as the good Doktor. He was also in House of Frankenstein with Boris Karloff!
I get such a kick out of Dracula's dialog! Priceless!
