Seen a couple of tutorials of HDR (or fake HDR), and I have to say..most of them are pretty bad (to plain awful!)
I like both your reasonably detailed explanation and also the "final" product
I'd be interested to see a demo from you with a picture containing shiny metal, like a plain or car, with both a strong background and dark foreground. (so, quite dramatic:-)
Because I've seen absolutely stunning pictures like that, and also awfully over processed ones...could you per haps try one?
