such an under-rated game within the series, not to mention hated. i loved this game when it came out, i still do now LOL, the ost is pretty good, the visuals and colour representation are mind blowing in comparision to 6, gameplay wasnt great in comparision to 5 but this game is good, especially how it picked up from tekken2 and 3 events and brought the characters from both games together, that was my favourite part finding who returned :)

@TheBaconToastie I did like the prologues and the endings were done well. The story was what I disliked most. It is littered with inconsistencies and contradictions to the original story. The gameplay was not as good as Tekken 3 or 5. I felt it was the second worst iteration of the series, though Tekken 6 is making me rethink that!
@TheBaconToastie In my opinion the plan to include Jin and bring back Kazuya backfired. The devil gene was another fatally flawed concept. It's just very frustrating. The series also doesn't have much scope. Everything revolves around the take over of the zaibatsu which is getting very old. Tekken 6 was an extreme, the plot with Lars was laughable. But it is what it is, so no point complaining. But I do not partake of anything past T3, that's just my preference.
@TheBaconToastie I kind of liked tekken 4's atmosphere, it seemed like out of all the games Tekken 4 was the darkest and possibly most realistic which was a pretty good tone for the series in my opinion, I mean look at the stages in 4 compared to 5 and 6, they're believable and grounded while 5 and 6 stages are a bit more fantastic. I kind of would like to see more of a blend.

And also like bludika said, I enjoy the Tekken 4 graphics way more than those of Tekken 5. The only good things that Tekken 5 has in my opinion are: Arcade History, Customization, and Devil Within =/

I love when Namco gets jazzy. Tekken 7 needs go back this direction. Tekken 5 music was pretty good, Tekken 6 was better, but 3 and 4 brought the funk and jazz (respectively)!

had a deep gritty story, wonderful music, & atmosphere.
Maybe the gameplay wasnt up to par but overall it still outshines
all the other tekken games.
