Well many GM SUV's look similar because GM engages in "Part Sharing."

For instance the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and the Cadillac Escalade are essentially the same vehicle.

All 3 are built off the same platform but the GMC has a better stock engine than the Tahoe and more "luxurious" and the Escalade since its the top of the line vehicle, has an even better engine and more luxury amenities.

But the big3 tend to over do it, so they saturate the same car with different badges. yes the options or level of luxury may vary but not much.

Simple. Most cars, Pick Ups and SUVs have a similar body style, what makes them unique is their fronts/grilles and backs and wheels. those are the important areas that competitors look for when they want to copy a popular design.
