  • What a load of shit

  • It whistles like a jet engine.

  • doubleux3 dot 1/3 of the holocaust dot comb.....

  • What is the top speed of the mini-e and the maximum range? What states in America sell the mini-e?

  • @davepamn It was only available in New Jersey and California. I have #135. Top speed? Not sure, but it is FAST!!!!!! Range? Did get 120 once, but usually 95. However, it only costs me about a buck to completely charge it up. It is a test car and they are taking the last of them back at the end of this year.

  • How would you rate the e-mini against the tesla roadster in terms of performance and handling?

  • @davepamn Actually I thought the Mini was fast until I drove the Tesla. Dramatic difference in performance. I met the guy that designed the motors for both cars. He told me the Mini is basically a smaller version of the Tesla motor. Both handle well but I wasn't able to put the Tesla to any extremes.

  • What is the difference in cost? Tesla Roadster $90k and Mini-E at $40k?

  • @davepamn The sticker on the Mini was $50K but it was only by lease.

  • This s the perfect electric car!!

  • its funny how the electric motor sounds like a single supercharger just whining away

  • hey show me the number plate again and lets see it move along a road oh and yeah show me the fuel flap and again and again and again oh and i need a close up of a flashing light on the steering colum no show me the fuel flap.............................crap

  • enviroment friendly wat is the world coming too.... the car is shit like that!!!

  • lithium batterys are just salt and mostly not harmfull to the earth like oil and if batterys are recyceled there is no impack of invirment

  • @MrJetjoe Where does all that electricity come from??? Oh yeah environment polluting power stations!!!

  • @mattypeel123

Mine is powered by solar panels. And actually, an EV has 1/8th to 1/2 the emissions of a gas powered car depending on the weight and battery chemistry.

Gas cars can only EVER run on gas. But electric cars don't care where their power comes from. That means, as we slowly switch from oil and coal powerplants to nuclear, solar, hydro and wind, we can slowly benefit along the way because out transportation will become cleaner at the same time. Can't do that with gas cars.

  • @Zamboro ok so if they "dont care where their power comes from " lets see you fill it up with lpg or diesel or cooking oil or hydrogen......personally i find my feet in conjunction with my legs provide pollution free transportation

  • @fuckystoat

That's easy, I'd just use the fuel to run a generator that would charge up the EV's batteries. Like I said, electricity is electricity no matter how it's produced, and there are endless ways of producing it. That was my point.

  • @mattypeel123 Because power stations are so much more efficient at converting fossil fuel to electricity than an internal combustion engine is at converting fossil fuel into kinetic energy, an EV has 1/8th to 1/2 the emissions of a gas powered car depending on the weight and battery chemistry.

  • You have to believe they will find solution for all these nitpicky problems. Every problem has a solution. Lets start with solving the smog, and gas problems first. Let technology evolution continue. Don't stop because the OIL companies have listed the coal plant issue and the disposing batteries issue. Those were mined out by OIL companies. Don't let them do your thinkig for you.

  • I want the problems that we will in the future when these batteries of electric cars when they are thrown out there in nature

  • most batteries are expensive enough (even lead acid) that no one in their right mind would throw them out and not get money or credit back. but then again i don't know you...

  • bruno: carbon monoxide carbon dioxide gasoline oil antifreeze spark plugs filters belts pumps hoses gaskets mufflers...
  • sounds like a jet

  • I drive one of these at work. It's creepy how quiet they are. Aside from the short range and lack of storage space, it's an awesome vehicle. Fast, comfortable, handles well, fun to drive.

  • best car to stalk without being noticed...

  • Love that car... I'd pay more for a car like this than getting a $12,000 gas guzzling sedan. It's part of being socially and environmentally responsible.

  • @litetheory

Social and environmental responsibility won't sell cars. Electrics will sell when people realize how peppy their acceleration is, how smooth and quiet the ride is, how little maintinence they require and how much they can save on gasoline.

It would also help, when selling them in the South, to point out that some portion of every dollar spent at the pump goes to Saudi oil sheiks.

  • @litetheory your an idiot!

  • @snave86 8======D  Suck on that

  • best mini ive seen i heard it goes to 60 mph in 4 seconds i want 1 another well done job by mini

  • 0-62 in 8.5 actually =/

  • kostea13 Ev is NOW. Im going to start building them myself. Stuff waiting for big car campanys to release them... 10 years is far away.

  • I'm getting one. Part of the trial program in Pasadena.

    kp

  • great job mini

  • me too i want one

  • Very cool. I'll miss the engine sound, but seems like this is the wave of the future. Way to go, MINI.

  • Unfortunately the future was a decade ago with the EV1 and all of it's Electric Siblings, but the oil company's did not like it then!

  • sound's good, I want one to!

  • This is the 2002 MINI Cooper body style, which I prefer to the next gen. Is this what they used for the MINI Cooper E? If so, *nice*

  • they ll use the second generation body for the cooper E. but dont worry thats the one you confuse for the first generation style in the video above. so "nice"

  • ev is the future

  • uh, yes.

  • Er, yes it is! Go put Petrol up your Ass and see how you like it!

  • The Mini E is a clear example of taking a successful brand and adding a niche within a niche that works. 150 mile range and 2 hours to recharge make this car a workable deal. I imagine you'll have to use the horn more...

  • this is way cooler than any petrol sound. It resembles more a jet plane

  • I want one!!!

  • Some might miss that engine growl...but this thing still has giddy up and go. I want one.

It kinda sounds like a jet engine...

  • Listen to the Silence?..lol..I know I cant hear the silence..Can you..?

  • i miss the engine noise

  • will someone please invent the "mr fusion"?

  • "Doc what are you doing?" *stares at can* "I Need fuel!"

  • then in 100 years time, politicians will be talking about releasing us from foreign garbage dependancy!

  • LoL true.

  • Boo! All this "green" movement is just to make more money on us.

  • this kid obviously likes the idea of being dependent on Russia and Middle East for oil

think about it, being independent is reason enough to switch to electric cars

  • just wanted to engage disscussion :P

  • Nice... But that its not good for blind people cauze they cant hear the car coming...

  • @123gmw123 Soooooo true mate
