what a top bloke. For me at least, he will be the one and only Joker. Even if Boris Johnson tried to 'Joker up' (which I think would be one of the highlights of my life if he did) Heath will always surpass anyone who ever tries and has tried to play him.
It's sad that he died. He had the potential to become one fantastic actor - better than he alreay was. It's like imagining how music history would have become, if Hendrix had not died at 27.
"the joker is a criminal mastermind who kills for pleasure."
um, no. the joker is an ingenious, criminal mastermind who kills to prove a point. he's not a clown. and he's not a psychopath, either. the joker doesn't kill people randomly. he kills them for a reason. only oaf-like murderers would kill out of nowhere. the joker is smart enough to plan everything out and turn all of gotham's and it's people's plans against themselves. like he said, he's not a monster. he's just ahead of the curve.
Some people think he got the Oscar mainly as a tribute to his death, but no. Was some of the best acting i've ever seen. He was better than in the video games, and you can make the video games do anything you want!

I think Ledger was good but what really helped was Nolan's portrayal of the Joker, acting is one thing but the actual realistic, physiological direction that Nolan took it in was outstanding.
RIP Heath! you have always been amazing, and this is not just cause you have passed, but because you showed everyone what it really takes to be a character of a movie, and to make it to where it doesn't even seem like it is you .
Until we meet again my friend. Respects to your family and frineds forver :) miss you buddy
I went to school with Heath's cousin, Luke, and I remember sitting in class with him a couple weeks after he died, and an EXTREMELY annoying student, who had no clue that they were related, started blabbering about how pathetic he thought Heath was an actor... it was only after 5 ANGRY students told him to shut up, and what Luke was going through that he felt like the world's biggest douchebag >.>
I highly doubt anyone is gonna read this but I'ma write it anyway cause I did it for Heath and his loved ones.. PLEASE, PLEASE & PLEASE check out my latest single dedicated to the late, great Heath Ledger!!
It's called "The Joker Never Died"
Whoever said The Joker died, obviously was mistaken.
It makes you actually consider that if he was still alive, would he have been put in the same sentance as Oscar nominee? Still a great movie nevertheless.

with all honesty i think he killed himself intentionally. just like that one famous model's philosophy "die young(beautiful),forever young" . she killed her self so she would always be remember as the most beautiful woman. maybe thats what heath did ?
This guy is a fucking idiot he coulda been in a lot of fucking movies and win a lot of fucking oscars.. i cried when he died....it felt like the joker himself suicide... Maybe god doesnt want villans with such good acting performance
Look at the Y chromosome data study..the genomes of modern europeans are founded on the frame of both the basque male ("old European"=cromagnon)and the basque female.All other groups use our genes as their base for their own freakin identity This badass man and woman populated africa asia and europe..the cromagnons brought civilization all over....rome,egypt,ancient greece etc yup...not bullshittin ya
Some of the theories people are coming up with are kind of funny. What I think happened was he was either really stressed or confused and took one too many pills. It could be the role, maybe it made him question himself. But I seriously doubt it. Drug problems are pretty common, especially among the stars. He just fell too far.
@nathanhernandez22 I heard he got to watch the playback of the first scene he was in from the bank robbery. But as far as the whole movie, sadly he didn't. He died in January of 2008. A few months before the movie premiered in July of the same year. Such a shame. But at least he won the Oscar for his incredible performance.
I find what they said about Joker being Batman's first enemy to be wrong. Hugo Strange was Batman's first enemy. Joker was just Batman's Opposite. His nemesis. His rival if you will. O:
maggie gylenhaal. you're so ugly. i cant take it sometimes. im aware this is completely unnecessary but gawddamn girl. stop acting. im glad they killed you off.
im sorry but nicholson joker was waaaaaaayyyyyyy better and way better acted....a joker is a happy villain not a depressesed serial killer,its funny how the big machine(warner bros.)let people believe this joker is thee best ever...hahahhahahaah yeah right sure monkeys..much respect to ledger not his fault he did his job

Watch the Dark Knight. Then you will feel the same way as i do, and what everyone else does. Heaths role as the joker was and always will be the best. He will be irreplaceable, and the joker wont be in part 3. simply because his legacy cant be replaced.
@JusticeRetroHunter couldnt of put it better i have seen the second one more than the first and i love the first one aswell but bringing my favourite character Bane into no.3 it will be fking awesome way to end the trilogy too bad they are going in a new direction after that.
@Stoksie01 Bane is a perfect villain for the 3rd and fits into Nolan's universe too. And yeah it's sad to see the trilogy end, but at the same time wouldn't you want to see a different approach to Batman? Don't get me wrong I love the realistic take on the character. But it would be cool to see a more comics-oriented interpretation. Not necessarily lighter or more kid-friendly, just letting Batman do some of the incredible stuff he does in the comics. Taking on 50 thugs at the same time etc
The truth is that someone gave heath ledger some street drug, cocaine maybe and like a fool he took it. But us we know even a few uses can cause addiction and dependency. The other actors must have really loved him.
So he's brainstem/reticular activation center collapsed and he tried to compensate it with the use of sleeping pills but the killing sting was already done and he died in 6 months later.
"Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it needs is a little push." (Joker)
@timen1986 Sorry, there was no unused footage of Heath Ledger as the Joker, and Nolan already confirmed that there will be no return of the Joker. There may be a mention of him being in Arkham, but nothing more.
For all the Joker Fans and Harley Quinn fans there's a girl on fb who has made a page and she deffenitaley could pass for Harley Quinn. check out The real Harley Quinn, Ivy Quinn on fb and help her be in the next movie!
When i watched it and i was told it was Heath I didnt believe it. To me it was like he was a different person. The whole movie was great and had some amazing actors in it. No comic book movie has ever been that artistic acting wise. Truly a masterpiece
i did consider whether the illuminati were partly responsible for heath's death, but i can't fathom out why they would murder him. he didn't pose as a threat to them like michael jackson, JFK, or 2pac etc
@Cla900 there's no way to know for sure, but he may simply have not wanted to join them like a lot of artists that were killed b/c of that reason. Or may have been a threat that we didn't know about yet. they have so many secrets.
@Cla900 I've done some digging, and I have discovered that the Illuminati aren't all you seem to think. I'll assume your religious? Believeing in God? Because the Illuminati aren't against making a world a better place, they are about science, realism. They aren't responsible for any of these deaths, if someone killed 2-Pac for his album "killuminati" it wasn't the illuminati themselves but a die hard believer with messed up motives. I see no evil from the Illuminati here...
@Cla900 are you mad? do you people really belive this kind of shit? IF there is a criminal organisation like you describe they wouldnt be so fucking stupid that theyd make huge number of themselves by killing musicians you idiot. all great criminal organisation try to keep as low profile as they can. nobody would kill celebrities just because they love peace.
@Cla900 grandparents? you do know that the brotherhood only accepts men? anyways point being that illuminati dont do useless murders like that, it doesnt help their agenda in anyway(talking about that ridicilous claim of them killing pop/rap stars) it would only make them standout more. since most people belive they dont exist anymore killing those people doesnt serve them.
what a top bloke. For me at least, he will be the one and only Joker. Even if Boris Johnson tried to 'Joker up' (which I think would be one of the highlights of my life if he did) Heath will always surpass anyone who ever tries and has tried to play him.

The bar has been raised too high, no one will ever equal up to Heath Ledger's performance.

@timen1986 Sorry, there was no unused footage of Heath Ledger as the Joker, and Nolan already confirmed that there will be no return of the Joker. There may be a mention of him being in Arkham, but nothing more.

When i watched it and i was told it was Heath I didnt believe it. To me it was like he was a different person. The whole movie was great and had some amazing actors in it. No comic book movie has ever been that artistic acting wise. Truly a masterpiece

'accidental overdose'. with all the people that the illuminati has killed, i would be very surprised if it was 'accidental'.
maalaea 10 months ago
@maalaea
i did consider whether the illuminati were partly responsible for heath's death, but i can't fathom out why they would murder him. he didn't pose as a threat to them like michael jackson, JFK, or 2pac etc
i really do think his death was an accident
Cla900 9 months ago
@Cla900 there's no way to know for sure, but he may simply have not wanted to join them like a lot of artists that were killed b/c of that reason. Or may have been a threat that we didn't know about yet. they have so many secrets.
maalaea 9 months ago
@Cla900 can you explain this... i havent read your previous comments, how are the illuminati threatned by MJ, JFK, and 2pac?
ashattack10 9 months ago
@ashattack10
well michael jackson was all about helping the world and making it a better place (complete opposite to illuminati's motives)
JFK was wanting to abolish secret societies (so goodbye to illuminati and obviously they didn't want this)
2pac was wanting to expose them to the world (just like MJ, JFK and many other famous figures) hence his album title 'killuminati'
so they decided to kill them all off or at least destroy them in some way (michael's pedophile charges)
hope this helps
Cla900 9 months ago
@Cla900 I have never heard this before, this is very interesting, i think I may do some digging ;) thanks man
ashattack10 9 months ago
@Cla900 I've done some digging, and I have discovered that the Illuminati aren't all you seem to think. I'll assume your religious? Believeing in God? Because the Illuminati aren't against making a world a better place, they are about science, realism. They aren't responsible for any of these deaths, if someone killed 2-Pac for his album "killuminati" it wasn't the illuminati themselves but a die hard believer with messed up motives. I see no evil from the Illuminati here...
ashattack10 9 months ago
@Cla900 are you mad? do you people really belive this kind of shit? IF there is a criminal organisation like you describe they wouldnt be so fucking stupid that theyd make huge number of themselves by killing musicians you idiot. all great criminal organisation try to keep as low profile as they can. nobody would kill celebrities just because they love peace.

@A1R3D3E7
then you clearly have no idea about the topic
my grandparents were freemasons.
i know a lot more than you do my friend
Cla900 9 months ago
@Cla900 grandparents? you do know that the brotherhood only accepts men? anyways point being that illuminati dont do useless murders like that, it doesnt help their agenda in anyway(talking about that ridicilous claim of them killing pop/rap stars) it would only make them standout more. since most people belive they dont exist anymore killing those people doesnt serve them.
A1R3D3E7 9 months ago
@A1R3D3E7
i said grandparents NOT grandmother
you do have two grandfathers you know..
and anyway my grandmother was apart of the masonic group OES
i even have the certificates to further prove my point.
and yes..if a celeb who has a great amount of influence/power over the world (like michael jackson) then yes, they would be a threat to them.
and it wouldn't make them stand out if they made the death look like an accident.
the majority of the world are ignorant..pretty easy to convince
