  • WRONG. I see you're from the USA,say's it all really don't it

  • The "National Health Service" began with free checkups, eyeglasses, wheelchairs, orthopedic shoes, checkups, etc. This may not seem like much, but that's all their was. You didn't have all the procedures, medications, and therapies that you have today. So there was less to provide.

  • The very definition of a statesman.

  • the UK isnt perfect but im so thankful that i was born here and not in another country like the USA.

  • I just love his accent. And more importantly, he speaks about right things.

  • Government spending - aka "socialism" - built the highways, the railways, the canals that allowed capitalism to develop. It built the hospitals and medical system to keep the workers healthy and further build capitalism. It built the education system feed workers and minds into the capitalist system. And it built the police forces and armed forces to defend capitalism.

  • @imaccuish well you say that but it was still done with money taken from the productive forces of capitalism, further more some of your examples are in correct - the education system was originally built by private enterprise and philanthropists, hospitals were originally built by private enterprise and charities, hundreds of years before the government took over, the highways and the railways were actually built privately until they where nationalised and i'm going to run out of characters....

  • @imaccuish

Hahahaha.... you'll have those imbecile right-wingers all flummoxed now with that kinda talk. Those bloody animals think that by appropriating all of the resources of the commons for themselves, for their own greedy purposes, and that by exploiting and enslaving their fellow countrymen, they think that they are somehow better than anyone else.

And a video comment on hypocrisy:

  • Socialism is alot like the banking system. No product, just redistributing the wealth.

  • @mjswans redistributing it the wrong way

  • @mastersanchez99 Yes....against the will of those who earned it. They sell it as some moral obligation and no one is fooled anymore by their pandering to special interests....so they close their ears, lose their minds, and wildly accuse those who call them out.

  • Robin Hood......prince of thieves.

  • Socialism is the product of those who have no product.

  • I could never be accused of being socialist or left wing. But the NHS is precious. The idea that you get care based on what you need and not on what you afford, is a great one. It seems wrong that the large economies can't or won't help thier poorest.

  • No one says "democrashy" quite like Tony Benn.

  • No one says "democrashy"quite like Tony Benn.

  • Socialists are patented morons. If M. Moore likes this guy....that's a badge of dishonor, and credibility debt to anyone.

  • @mjswans If you're going to make rash comments like this it would help if you'd actually try to support your case with an argument.

  • @vapourmile

Prove me wrong. If you believed M. Moore after 911....you'll buy anything.

  • @mjswans I'm not making any claims about Michael Moore. I'm pointing out that if you're going to make comments like "Socialists are morons", as if you're accusing Sir Tony Benn of being a moron ofr lacking credibility you're going to have to do a lot better than just call him a moron. If you want to go around discrediting people you're going to have to provide some sort of argument that supports it.

  • @vapourmile

    1) Do you think Michael Moore is credible.....

    2) Does government create wealth in a society....

    3) Should a free nation fight enemies which plot it's overthrow....

These 3 simple questions require only a yes or no.

  • @mjswans Ok, if you're determined to miss the point, it's your decision, so this is the last time I am going to say it, if you avoid the question again then I'll simply block you: You made a remark "Socialists are patented morons. If M. Moore likes this guy....that's a badge of dishonor, and credibility debt to anyone", and I pointed out the remark has no gravity at all and as such is going absolutely nowhere. I am choosing to ignore your questions since I am not interested in answering them.

  • @vapourmile No suprise.

  • @mjswans

Hey I have 3 questions for you:

    1) Do you think the Bible is credible?

    2) Can everyone get rich under capitalism?

    3) Is the enemy of the govt of a nation the same as the enemy of every person in that country?

These 3 simple questions require only a yes or a no.

  • So true.

  • I like Tony Benn and his outspokenness. But he is wrong and starry eyed about the NHS. After 2 World Wars depleting the men of fighting age and no end of war in sight (Churchill spoke about rearming german POW, turning them round and joining UK / US and attacking Russia, as it was coming sooner or later - and did in proxy wars during cold war) , even the government saw the need for a Health Service. FOR fighting fit population. Nothing so grand as care.

  • Nice videos this you tube world just gets bigger every day! When you have time come visit my channel!

  • Tony Benn is a hero, speaks so much sense

  • I wish American politicians spoke like this. Instead we get GWB and Sarah Palin.

  • @SpinalTapUK

Poor baby.....all better now that we have a non-citizen-muzlim sympathizer spending like a jilted ex?....

  • Proud Swede and Scandinavian here ! We went our own way. Took abit of capitalism and socialism, mixed it together "Nordic style" and created the most secure and peaceful countrys in the world. Denmark, Norway and Sweden. We leave non in our society behind. We think that keeping people alive (healthcare) is the nr 1 priority and then when that is fullfilled we can battle eachother on a free capitalistic market. We also got private healthcare as a option.

  • @TinyArts

Indeed, you have lots to be proud about!

  • 1 dislike ?????? really???

  • His mug is so cool!

  • Wow, what a fool. Everything should be voluntary, the exact OPPOSITE of State Socialism.

  • @qwertypoiu4321 What?

  • @LondonIrishRover Everything should be voluntary. That is the exact opposite of socialism. People who conspire, solicit or aid and abet coercion should be arrested for doing such. That includes conspiring, soliciting or aiding and abetting criminal socialists.

  • @qwertypoiu4321 I think you're missing the point. Look at our system of government, supposedly the opposite of socialism. Does one really have a choicein government. Take Bush's second term for example, we the people did not vote for him the popular vote went to Gore. A contitutional approach, when tasked with the chioce of capitalism and socialism, socialism wins hands down. With words like we the people, to form a more perfect union, and the WELFARE of the people. Greed has consumed U.S.

  • @Haterpainter The coercive, criminal system we have now is the opposite of a Voluntarist system. Criminal coercion has consumed America. Anyone who violates the Non-Coercion Principle should be charged as such.

  • I love Tony benn, he is the ONLY politician who I agree with. Listening to him is a education

  • Cameron is privatizing parts of the NHS.

  • Free energy technology exists! But some very powerfull ppl don't want you and me to be free from energy costs,Get a real free energy motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Free yourself!

  • @glennjgd So it's suppressed, but you can just go online and buy it? You have one of these then I take it? In your car? you are using magical free energy that defies the laws of nature right now? You are using this to generate the electricity that runs your computer? Or are you plugged into the mains?

  • I loved Sicko... except for the obvious Hillary Clinton campaign part.

  • tony benn for p.m.!!!

  • God bless Tony Benn and his dulcet tones. Much respect and admiration from a fellow left-wing Brit. Benn for PM. at least give the man a knighthood.

  • @benga662 Just shows how little you Benn groupies understand. He hates the honours system.Too elitist. He should know all about that.Westminster school,Oxford, inherited wealth,£10 million Holland Park mansion.Benn always has been the ultimate hypocrite.

  • i cannot think of one reason why everyone shouldn't be entitled to free healthcare. there is not much to be proud of here in the UK, but the NHS is one.

  • Tony is right in every aspect of the way he deconstructs political power and strips it down to its bare essentials, health, education and confidence for every citizen from every background without special preference to race, class, status or religion. So that a citizenry evolves that is fully & collectively cognisant of its responsibility to protect fundamental human rights pertaining to the freedom of speech and of conscience - whether ideological or religious - to pursue social justice for all

  • Tony Benn is god

  • Tony benn is the man.

  • This is so true. Vote is a true power, and a lot of people forget it. I'm from France, we've got a great health care system which is being threatened by the right, we've got an education system which is abandoned by the right, we've got poor people who are made poorer and rich people who are made richer. WE have the power to stop that, but nobody moves!!

  • The NHS. The only thing that makes me proud to be british.

  • @MetaCraken Not our heritage then? Not our Armed Forces? etc...

  • @MetaCraken The BBC too (apart from the fucking tellytubbies)

  • @MetaCraken Me too, oh and posh spice.

  • @MetaCraken wow, you've read my mind! I didn't appreciate it until i spent 2.5 years abroad and then returned here.

  • @MetaCraken : I say that a lot too bud. Once it's gone, it'll take a war to get it back.

  • @pollythewasp Revolution. #May26

  • Nice word towards the end, but I'm afraid you will ALL learn that there is only ONE difference between Communism and Democracy, one is spelt with a C one is spelt with a D. Rich get richer poor stay poor. Keep arguing though it is comical.

  • @NoctisEreptor you're right except that either system can be good or bad depending on whether they have a top-down dynamic of control or bottom-up. Those are the real 2 options.

  • @natmanprime Well it SHOULD be bottom up but it inevitably turns into Top down dynamic rubbish that puts people in little boxes, so as we can keep an eye on them. But you are right. Dictatorship is the only other choice? Pure Capitalism? Royal family rule? Lord knows we need something now!

  • @NoctisEreptor Here's the answer. The way forward is to invert the "power triangle" by increasing dole money, as much as possible. This'll give workers bargaining power with their bosses to pay higher wages, so there's less for the bosses, unless they expand business.

Customers will have more power, they won't have to buy cheap crap.

Money comes from everyone else's taxes (EQUAL % FOR ALL)

make it illegal to have offshore accounts (grounds:antisocial)

    govt=traffic lights

    everyone=royalty

    DONE

  • @natmanprime Never, increase "Dole" money and you suffer a lazy population.

  • @NoctisEreptor Well, lets have a look ...

Let's say dole increases to £100 p/week. plus rent+tax, let's say £100 p/week, total £200 p/week. The guy on full time work, earning £250 p/week is thinking "what's the point?" Unless there's a career opportunity from this job, and fast, he might as well leave. So he has leverage to pressure his boss for some advancement or he walks away. This forces businesses to be kinder to their lowest staff.

More money for staff=less for bosses

  • @natmanprime No way, give the youth an aim. Give them more to fight for. At the minute they have no industries to count on, no jobs are secure. The way to do it is, re invent ourselves before it's too late. More apprenticeships with guaranteed jobs with a decent pension, more perks for those who achieve more, better unions that support workers instead of backing down to corporate pressure all the time. BA is a classic example, in 5 - 10 years time YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO STRIKE!

  • @NoctisEreptor there's plenty already to fight for. Environment, welfare of others, personal right to health, access to education (NOT schooling/academia), expression of education, freedom not to HAVE to work!

Why should people count on an industry? Increased technology is going to make jobs more scarce anyway! There's more to life than working in a factory!

All companies are living on borrowed money, the economy is fluctuating more and more wildly and when the next crunch hits more jobs lost

  • @natmanprime I understand what u r saying. Education has become a sausage machine for industry, churning out churnalists for the media, pumpmanagers for industry, people as commodities in the labour market. Work needs redefining. Cutting the grass in your back garden is WORK. Shapers and makers of The industrial revolution brought a new meaning to work, associated with high moral ethics - 'the protestant work ethic', which sadly has become a twisted concept that alienates 'non workers'

  • @tellelephone thank you.

It's good to hear from sane, non-brainwashed people.

school is by nature fascistic, an anarchic version is a library.

school thereby crushes innate curiosity for knowledge, which makes them good workers, in a state of dull acceptance.

Authority figures use dull, beaurocratic jargon, keeping them this way.

Beloved parents, friends, family, strangers, colleagues, peer groups keep them this way.

    Fear of rejection

Keeps you a docile cow to be milked dry.

    End of speech

  • @natmanprime You're an idiot.

  • @NLR884evr Oh yes, but I believe I'm slightly smarter than you, nevertheless.

  • @natmanprime You can believe what ever you like. But even if you were smarter that means nothing in this world. What matters is ethics. Ghengis Khan was a smart man but was a blood thirsty maniac. But I'm glad we agree that you're an idiot!

  • @NLR884evr the longer the comment, the more upset the commenter. Always a good rule of thumb lol

  • @natmanprime The shorter the comment, the smaller the capacity for reasoning. Always a good rule of thumb lol

  • @natmanprime The longer the comment huh? That's quite statement coming from you. "school thereby crushes innate curiosity for knowledge, which makes them good workers, in a state of dull acceptance." You must be one angry little boy!

  • @natmanprime Corey, you think you're some kind of enlightened kid from the capital of colonialism and have the audacity to accuse people of being brainwashed. You're just a dilettante, another unhinged rabble-rouser who's totally divorced from reality and own not even an iota common sense.

  • @NLR884evr I WAS angry, at the state of society. Your point?

You've now sent 3 comments worth as one response, that's exactly what I was talking about. Corey??? what a bizarre thing to say. Are you crazy?

    ( : o

  • @natmanprime The longer the comment the more upset the commenter.

  • @NLR884evr exactly. Who's corey??

  • @natmanprime Thats some kind of weird reasoning you have there. The lowest earners have no leverage at all, they would be replaced by someone willing to take that wage or simply have a job in the first place.

Employers naturally find themselves in the position were they can abuse staff conditions , they will do so at any given opportunity.

The employer simply advertises in some poorer country to find staff.

This happens in Britain right now.

  • @hablerz what the hell are you referring to??

You seem to be arguing against something I didn't say.

I WANT a good welfare system

Think you responded to the wrong guy...

  • @natmanprime I thought you said benefits should be increased, in my view that serves no one.

The welfare system was there to elliminate poverty , not provide an alternative to work.

If anything benefits should be lowered to encourage those sitting on the employment fence to make the decision to get back to work.

  • @hablerz look no one should work for peanuts it's NOT RIGHT

    worldwide welfare should exist

    so NO ONE'S exploited

  • @natmanprime I agree but i dont see how raising welfare to ridiculous levels would help anyone. It simply promotes idleness , im talking about Britain.

Im not really concerned about other countries welfare systems , thats their own business.

  • @hablerz physical idleness, mental activeness.

Why? Because boredom inspires mental activity! ("longitudinal" thought)

Feeling financially stable inspires intellectual confidence and freedom("lateral" thought)

Being coerced into work gives you less room to think freely, you're too busy thinking about reward and punishment.

I'm talking about spreading welfare laterally, not raising it.

The rich 1% take our money and store it in a tax haven. The poor people there need welfare from that money.

  • @natmanprime Your quite right, if your working 12 hour night shifts your unlikely to be giving much thought into government foriegn policy.

Unfortunatley our govenment is run by these same 1% so its very difficult to get any real politcal change.

Being unemployed certainly raises a more acute awareness of world events in some people. Alot of people just spend the time playing computer games though.

Do you have any solution to these issues ? or are you just making the point known ?

  • @hablerz I've been giving the answer, world wide welfare, to go with the world wide web.

It's a statistical fact; italy has huge problem with corruption, and doesn't have much welfare. Kids feel they have to join gangs for wealth and status as a result.

Gangs including the army. The desperate working class fight the wars all over the world.

Without armys, the generals can't fight.

People can still start businesses, but without the huge loans and desperation.

    Knock on effect of positivity

    :0

  • @natmanprime Hehe , your more radical than i thought.

  • @hablerz It's just basic morality

  • @natmanprime Morality and common sense are two things sadly lacking in this world, i admire your principals though im not going to hold my breath about the world taking to them.

All you can do is live by this philosophy and spread the word and hopefully effect ofthers around you. Good luck.

  • @NoctisEreptor More money from the top, who DID NOT EARN their money. In fact they get it from us. They invaded the country, and then expect the existing population to pay them tax /tribute. The people actually existing here have to justify getting these same handouts.

Morally and logically , it's inconsistent to say the least.

And people talk about foreign "invaders", who actually just came here to study and work, the opposite of invading! They never killed anyone (i.e 1066 etc.)

  • @NoctisEreptor Never lower taxes for the super-rich, it only encourages them

  • @NoctisEreptor Correct, arbitrarily lower the benefits system and those who find themselves stuck with a non working/seeking philosophy will be forced to change.

Its not rocket science but theres few votes in it.

The welfare state was created to vanquish poverty , not to create an alternative lifestyle.

The only people that benefit are slum landlords.

  • @hablerz Ahhh. Come rain or shine, sombre or funny ALL year round landlords will always find their MONEY! A rhyme that still lives on today!

  • @NoctisEreptor and your point is?

  • Tony Benn is my favourite person in the world

  • You want to get out more,Sunshine.Everyone outside of universities, in the real world, think he's a complete twat.

  • I can guarantee you that that is not true.

  • Che,you couldn't guarantee anything and you know it.

  • regvarney, you're name is well suited.

  • And your point is?

  • I tell you what, pal, what exactly constitutes the real world?

Last I checked, at uni I have to worry about paying my rent, bills, tuition fees, working for money, my degree, dealing with my family and all the problems every other person does in life. What exactly about that is a total free ride or not "real"?

Don't come along and tell me that what I do is somehow lesser than what you do, or that my opinion isn't worth as much. All you do is establish yourself as a total patronising arsehole.

  • If you were Scottish you wouldn't have to pay tuition fees. That's an example of socialism as preached by the 2 prats on the video when the tax payer foots the bill for just about everything. What course are you doing anyway?

  • Funnily enough I'm in Scotland. I don't really see what difference it makes, but I'm studying physics.

  • How happy are you to pay tuition fees when the Scottish students get theirs paid for courtesy of the English tax payer? But hey, that's socialism for you!Aren't your Scottish friends getting ,as you call it, a free ride?

  • In a non-arrogant way, I get the feeling you were going to have a go at me for doing a waste of time subject that would render me completely unemployable, but since Physics sounds moderately good on a CV, you quite hastily changed the subject.

While I agree it's unfair that Scotts don't pay them, if it wasn't for socialism I'd be paying for 30k a year, as opposed to just under 2.

But hey what the fuck do I know, I haven't been in real world right?

  • @iburnedthedinner Well said! Going on what this video is attacking (American capitalism) you can rightly base your views against the American student system! Which on average, after interest payments and all hidden charges, someone doing your degree int he states is looking at a total cost of half a million dollars for a degree! Its not ethical to let banks determine price! Thats why socialism for students is good. Just look at France! They pay tiny amounts and would have it no other way!

  • @regvarney If that is true about Scotts not having to pay tuition fees, then it is just an example of the Scottish government milking the English tax payer for all we're worth. Rightly so you might argue, especially after all the shit we have put them through, but you have to ask yourself, is it real socialism? Did they have socialism in mind? No i doubt it, especially as the Scottish government is nationalist! Anyway, whats wrong with paying for tuition fees if it gives others (and Yourself)

  • the opportunity to better yourself, to earn a higher wage and live a more comfortable life style, not only this but it also lets you expand your mind, learnign things that you never knew. Our taxes pay for a lot of shit that we wouldn't want them too, and in my opinion this is not shit! I bet if you saw a list of government spending, this would not even approach the top 1000 of things that you would not want your taxes paying for!

  • I live in the real world Reg, and I know you are talking rubbish.

  • The Americans flew to the moon and 40 years later they still do not have a public health care system. That is what I call human progress.

    Yes we can?

  • The fourth month old debate amuses me so much. People who think one nation won the war have no idea what the war was about. If even one of the major powers in the European theatre had been absent, the war would have been massively different. No-one saved anyone else; we saved each other.

  • @imperailist99

*We* didn't save anyone. We weren't there. Unless you're over about the age of 85, saying 'we' when talking about the war is - like all displays of nationalism - truly ridiculous.

I can't understand why people take pride in shit that they played no part in just because someone who did it was coincidently born in the same country.

Yet you never hear the same British nationalists saying "we" when talking about colonial brutality, inventing concentration camps etc...

  • "You are ain't got a clue mate. You're a typical? brain washed yank." (MrKippers)

Trying to offend & belittle my self esteem is fruitless at best. It speaks volumes about your inability to articulate a coherent retort. Embarrassing bouts of intellectual hyperventilation & cognitive distress in the making.. Not good dude mate... Not good... Drink tea & count to ten. Everything will be o.k sweetie, I promise!

  • MrKippers - On one of my many visits to London I went to the Inquisition Dungeon museum (British style). Near the notorious Tower of London. A horrid penchant for evil evil doings that overwhelmed the Magna Carta for ages to come. I was much surprised by British creativity & ingenuity in all things; Inconceivable torture. Yikes...

  • You still execute people in America and you have the world's highest prison population.

Yes the British are the most ruthless bastards on earth - never forget that.

  • MrKippers - Many states in our union ban the death penalty. I support the ban myself. Death is too easy a punishment and yes some were wrongly executed. %25 of our prisoners are hard core illegal Mexican gang members. Crime in the U.S took a dramatic nose dive nevertheless due to strict enforcement.

  • Yes, the death penalty is ridiculous for a country like America.

It makes you look very bad and medieval in the eyes of the world.

  • MrKippers- The death penalty is bestowed upon sub-species who've done something heinous enough to deserve it. It's not designed for poets who refuse to rhyme or horridly naive, idealistic & self righteous mongrels like yourself. I agree that pomposity & self aggrandizement are not worthy of an electric chair. Besides, allowing clowns as yourself to ferment in their own acidic juices is severe enough a punishment, trust me.

  • 'Not designed for poets...', ha ha I like that one, very witty.

There are only people - not sub-species.

  • burn the witch

  • MrKippers - During W.W-2 some Irish folk spied for & cooperated with the Nazis. Irish animosity to all things England was that intense. Loyalists or no loyalists, British troops have no place in foreign lands. Period. End of story. Don't preach morals not practiced at home

  • MrKippers - The British army's operation in Northern Ireland ends after nearly 40 years (300,000 troops). 5,000 will remain just for fun. Imperialism anyone?

  • You'll never get Norther Ireland.

Do you know about the other Irishmen? The Irish loyalists?

  • MrKippers - U.K. was indeed an empire that fine tuned the art of colonialism & subjugation to the tee world wide. India was used for tigress hunting, natural resources & humiliating servitude. Your aristocratic & condescending patronage brought Gahndi to the rescue hence Democracy.

  • The demise of empire was largely due to the rise of nationalism around the world. Thank fuck imperialsm in our name at least is over. We have dealt with our colonial guilt. America must deal with hers.

Decline is something America is having trouble dealing with.

  • MrKippers - Your imperialistic days are far from over when you still claim ownership to 14 world wide colonies. Correct me if I'm wrong but British lads in military fatigues were roaming the jolly streets of Bagdad until quite recently & they are still enjoying a pint of Lugger in Afghanistan (after hours, off course...). Imperialism anyone?

  • MrKippers - America is a country that corrects itself. Slavery ended, civil rights issues fully addressed hence a black president. Vietnam was a frontier base for U.S.S.R's expansionist aspirations in Asia. U.S. withdrawal enabled Pol Pot to murder 2.5 million innocent civilians in the name of his "Agrarian" megalomaniac aspirations.

  • Nonsense. The British outlawed slavery well before you - William Wilberforce.

The British had the first votes for women. Where dod you think you got Habeous Corpus from? Magna Carta hundreds of years beforw we had even founded and made you.

There are no new ideas from America and no grand ideas. No Newton or Darwin has ever been produced by you.

  • MrKippers - Tit for tat - childish. U.S has been around much less yet reached the moon & became a super power while Brits lost grip on the colonies. Brits brought Magna Carta but also presided over a 1000 year of Medieval darkness. Blatant penchant for Up Stairs/Down Stairs. Aristocracy vs common folk. No equality there. What on earth was G. Britain doing in America in the first place?

  • MrKippers - England's last claim for dubious glory was in Palestine not allowing Holocaust survivors to seek refuge from European atrocities (Exodus anyone?). The mighty Brits were coerced out by a tiny bunch of ill equipped feisty Jews. England brought tea to U.S but Bostonians threw a mythological Tea Party to demand an end to British occupation & subjugation

  • MrKippers - Besides, inventing cucumber sandwiches is by itself good enough a reason to ban all ties with the U.K. (relax, just kidding...)

  • Try televisions, telephones, jet engines, computers. Thanks for those waffle makers son.

  • MrKippers - Your rambling is increasingly undecipherable. Not good...

  • Not very bright then are you son?

  • MrKippers - Why is the U.K deporting Al Katada to Jordan where he is guaranteed torture ? All he did was preaching anti Western sermons from a London Mosque pulpit. Freedom of speech anyone? The U.K is blatantly violating Amnesty International basic rules. Demand to severe all ties with the U.k. In other words, ban yourself at once !

  • MrKippers - Condemn France at once for her military exploits in the Ivory Coast. What on earth is a European army doing there in the first place? (oil, off course) Why demolishing their air port? Why killing 20 demonstrators? France is a criminal state!

  • MrKippers - 14 British overseas territories remain under the sovereignty of a colonial U.K. to this day. Remnants of a shameful, colonial & violent past. Give them back before exporting morals onto others. Beg for redemption, pay reparations & afford wholesale quantities of humility. Hypocrisy & self righteousness hold no water en route to your Holly Grail...

  • But you're empire building right now using the British model and speaking the same language.

Nothing ever changes - but we did it bigger, better and for much, much longer.

    Peace.

  • MrKippers - There is no doubt regarding English intellectual superiority. In fact I just read the other day that an English Neanderthal invented the wheel. Cheers up mate...

  • good but it's a shame such people can insult an entire nation on it's bad points and ignore the good points and their own nations bad points

  • I know mate. I'm only having a bit of a laugh myself.

  • MrKippers - The British escapade in the Falkland's was indeed a war of existential importance to the queen & her loyal disciples. So was French collusion in the Ivory Coast (2004) where French troops killed at least 20 anti French demonstrators seeking independence. In fact, the mighty French air force demolished the Ivory Coast's air port just for fun.. Look inward, dear. Cleanse your soul before pleading for my redemption...

  • That doesn't connect to the Falklands. The falkland islanders are British and want to remain British. They were invaded so we freed them.

    Rule Britannia.

  • MrKippers - Have you "freed" India as well? All the African colonies perhaps? The list never ends mate..Cheers

  • We gave them democracy and law.

India is the biggest democracy in the world. 4 times bigger than yours.

    What have you done?

  • MrKippers - The U.S saved your butts during 2 W. Wars, financed your recovery (Marshal Plan), defended you against the U.S.S.R, keep defending you against Russia & saved Bosnians from the Serbs in your very own back yard to name a few...

  • Mate listen, I don't blame you but Americans are told a lot of lies about what their country has done. You never saved anyone's arses in your life. You got battered in Vietnam, a war you joined at the start. You faced them at their full strength - unlike the German wars in wich you joined at the end.

You've never been tested. Never faced the Russians and you're shit scared of China.

You need us mate. So pipe down with your revisionist historical perspectives.

  • MrfKippers - You can't face a civilian population at full strength dude mate. You keep spewing a litany of baseless falsifications yet fail time & again to address a single one of my endless assertions. Not good for your condescending claim for an intellect. ..

  • You are ain't got a clue mate. You're a typical brain washed yank.

  • MrKuppers - Look dude, I like England much & frequent London often. A jolly city indeed. It is your condescending, elitist & self righteous demeanor that I disdain & wish to expose the the YTube masses. Get a life sweetie. Quit the preaching business. You posses no sanctity, trust me. Get yourself a decent girlfriend & a pint of Lugger so you can move on... Keep me posted!

  • For one - I hate London, that's not my England.

You must listen to those wiser than you.

  • "You must listen to those wiser than you"- (MrKippers)

Your hilarious penchant for self love is a clear sign of "Grande Pompositis" . A life shattering affliction that is treated by deflating your hyper inflated ego with a special rubber hose. Think of it as Colonics of the brain from gooey matter. Keep me posted!!!

  • "For one - I hate London, that's not my England." -(MrKippers)

I did not know that you owned England. How much did you pay?

  • I'm an Englishman, England's mine.

Corporates, China and Saudi Arabia own America.

  • hahahahahahahaha

    nice 1

  • Thank you

Not wishing to offend but Britain received not one cent from the Marshall Plan. All we got was a loan; the conditions of which almost broke the economy. We had to spend 25% of it defending the pound. We only finished paying it off a couple of years ago.
