  • Great camera mount placement

  • lets see a subaru do that!

  • excellent for an auto, i like the throwty sound as well

  • You have a monster man .. !! shit

  • nice stang love that creative thing you did wit the camera...good job !!

  • hey what kind of wheels are those??

  • No I think a stock motor is perfectly capable of handling some boost. You said you put 12 psi on your stock motor when Paxtons website clearly say they don't recommend any more than 11 psi on a stock motor. In my experience, 1 psi makes all the difference in the world.

Plus I have a buddy who's been running 9 psi on his otherwise stock 2003 GT and four years after the install, he's had no problems.

I was just curious to see how much boost you were putting in your stock engine. Thanks.

  • Some boost, sure. I think Saleen runs around 6psi.... The tune has a lot to do with it. Anytime you add power adders...turbo,SC, NOS, You add more stress which Will shorten the life of the motor. I've got a friend with a stock neon running 23lbs. of boost, runs like crazy and it has lasted a long time. Its Always a matter of time, tune and luck!

  • How much psi are you running? Is your engine completely stock?

I'm considering a Paxton myself but a lot of people in Mustang forums are saying that 10-11 psi on a stock motor is extremely dangerous and you're on borrowed time. Do you agree with that?

  • I do agree with that! Anytime you add a supercharger to a stock motor no matter what the boost, your asking for trouble. I was running 12lbs. of boost and I got 8000 miles out of it till it blew up. Now my motor is a 298 stroker with forged internals, stage 2 heads, stage 2 blower cams and I'm running 14lbs. of boost. Went to Dynospeed to have it tuned and put down 615rwhp on a conservative tune.

  • what kind of camera mount do you use?

  • I just taped a tripod onto the car... Make sure you use the blue painters tape.

  • wouldn't that scratch your paint?

  • Tape?? No... If you use Duct tape it will pull the clear coat off though!

  • I mean the leg of the tripod against your car?

  • Naaaa, it has rubber feet so no biggy.

  • haha i know but y not turn around on the pavement so it does kick rocks onto the paint

  • not the best idea to drive on a gravel/ dirt road after a burn out but hey what do i know

  • Just turnin around to do it again...

  • Fuckin' awesome! Nice camerawork, clean car too man.
