@Hanzomm I don't kno... haven't used this for a long time. Usually it is the drivers but some WebCams may not work, I found webcams to be an issue with some software when a different webcam worked.

@xTcM0NSTER blue screen's are an indication of a major problem with software/drivers.

Different drivers may help.

Rember they are many Different Versions of Windows, XP, Vista and 7, and each of these can come in 32 bit or 64 bit so people need the correct drivers for their computer system.

I can only guess:

I do not use Vista it is cases issues with a number of programs, no matter what anyone does.

Windows 7 is I believe better.

EasyCap/Ulead is sofare as I know built for XP not Vista, there may be updates for Vista.

I think you can tell programs to run as XP, (that is treat programs as runnning in XP on Vista), but I do not think this will work.

Some sound cards may need setting up to do this.

Still having problems with this. When It's all plugged in and I'm going to record, all I get are white 'scan lines' I believe they're called, on the screen for it.

@Francyspai Sound to me like it's a frequency issue in the UK it's 50hz other places it's 60Hz. (mains supply frequency). PAL

Check of this settings in ULead. (may noy exist!)

EasyCap May come in 60 or 50 versions.

Or it could be a codec issue.

Try someting else plugged in to see if it this plugging in device is the issue.

If I you have ULead, (some other software not all will also do this, but you should get ULead with EasyCap), the video will be shown in this sofware, this is what is happening above, (video camcoders leads into EasyCap, Esaycap dispalying what is o the vdeo using EasyCap). This can be recored with EasyCap, (abit like a video cassette recoderd), and edited then saved for YouTube or what-ever.

I used some Screen Caputer software to film what was happening above... You cas see the result of what happend in ULead/MovieMaker by clicking the Green button at the end of thes video

@EpiiCxGamers Y-splitters sent the signal into TV and Easycap device at the same time. This means that you can watch on the TV at the same time as recording with EasyCap, (which you can use to watch, via ULead, anyway )... but watching on TV can be better.

So Y-splitters may not be needed but may be better.

These are mainly to do with how the images is constucted on the Television

PAL is a mainly UK standard

NTCS is a USA standard

EasyCap has a setting for either one.

I my option there are no guarantee that anything, (any software at all), will work with VISTA, (I am back to using Windows XP, but as above Ulead EasyCap worked for me.

Do other things work in the USB.

Turn off your computer using Shut Down or pressing the power button and then UNPLUG it from the wall outlet. YES UNPLUG FROM WALL For 2 Minutes and plug back-in and boot-up.

@ninjamoon9 Some XBox 360 have HDMI output socket . So if your TV has HDMI input use this. Best :)

If Not Use the XBox output cable into the TV RCA/phono plugs if it has them.

Some tv's have extra RCA/phono that you can use with the XBox, as HDMI, a switch near the plug into the Xbox can set to use these.

if TV has no RCA/phono inputs then there is a convertor to a SCART plug for TV/Video.

In all cases the TV input will have to be changed to accept which ever option you want to use.

@ninjamoon9 You have to have 3 Y splitter( 1 male to 2 female ) and you hook ur easycap into your comp, hook up the splitters, then hook the Xbox cables into the splitters, then buy double sided av cables and rca cables and hook those next to the xbox cables into the splitters aand then into the tv. <3

Ulead software and EasyCap Drivers are separate pieces of software. Ulead may be used with other video input devices, (not necessarily USB), and the EasyCap Device with its drivers may be used with other software to produce a video.

A note on Drivers. Generally use the disk first, before Plugging in the EasyCap Device USB cable for the first time. If you update the EasyCap Drivers the you may need the EasyCap Device unplugged while you do this. After installing fully re-boot your computer.

After re-booting plug in the EasyCap, it may pop-up a box that the USB device, the EasyCap is being installed. Allow this to complete before trying the EasyCap Device.

@PerryThePlatypoos USB2 is usually a Motherboard issue. Most computers will use USB2 without having to do anything. This could on an older computer need setting in BIOS.

There are other good video sharing sites that you could upload to to see if your video functions there, if it does then it looks to be an issue to do with YouTube.

Although it could be Codec or Tile type issue

@xSH0Tz S-Video which is said to be better quality, is the lager black socket-plug on the EasyCap device, see top left picture in the description link given. Your camera, or other item needs an S-Video outout to plug-into this. Audio will still also need plugging-in to the EasyCap device, If your camera does not have S-Video uses the Composite cables instead.

I have some drivers for EasyCap , see the link in the description. For these Drivers, so far as I know, you just need to find a setup.exe file and double click on this to install. You may need to re-boot after setup.exe. Then when you plug the EasyCap in to should find these and work.

You can download both, one at a time. Then uncompress, just double click to do this and place the files somewhere n the hard drive then find setup.exe in the folder. No guarantee these will work for you
