  • Steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car...

  • HAWT.

  • How crach resistant are Karmann Ghias? ..or are they as bad as bugs?

  • @loveanianimeme theres nothing in the front end, part of the reason they stopped making them is because they couldnt keep up with the saftly laws that were being passed. its deff not safe to crash, besides that its all 1 piece so the whole car would be destroyed, just about.

  • could be anywhere from a 64-69.. Not much changed in those production models.

  • what engine?

  • i want one or two pretty

  • does it have texas plates or is that just me? either way nice KG

  • No they are not, They are Australia Plates for the state call Queensland.

  • What a stunning car! :-)

  • Judging from the tail lights and bumper, I would guess it is a 1968

  • yeah but its effinetly lower than 1969 though im guessing this is a 1967 but they are very rare

  • I'm speachless

  • What year is that? Either way, that's so nice with the Porsche rims and chrome trim.

  • Sorry don't know what year as it was just at the dyno day.

  • Nice car !

  • what year is that Ghia ?

  • sorry don't know, it was just at the dyno day

  • @Curetiamhices Its a 1962 KG

  • hmm siver w/ alloys nice....

  • the oil 1302 rally car from 70's has agot 126at 6k rpm at the crank.

  • is that the old ghia from Victoria that I restored over 10 years??? Toby

  • With a Ghia you don't need more to blast everyone off the track!

I own a razor-edge myself but I certainly like the type1 Ghia too!

  • yeah but those things are pretty light. my bug is only pushing about 95-100HP but it can keep up wiht our 2006 grand prix. untill i shift into 4th anyway. then i get blown away.

  • go fuck yourself moron

  • eleanorroosevelt1 eat shit and die spam head!

  • eleanorroosevelt1 oops my bad I'll eat shit and die sorry!

  • badass. that thing must fly since it weighs about as much as a ham sandwich

  • 2000 pounds, a little less than your average modern car. It's small but it's all metal construction, not plastic and fiberglass like today's cars.

  • Sexxyest VW ever made.

  • Considering the 1600CC sits north of 60HP, close to 70HP and thats on the conservative VW Single Port internals. There is no reason why you can't build 110WHP on that platform. With extreme modification, people have gotten 300HP on dedicated drag ghias (lots of boost, meth. injection and NO nitrous). Think before you post please k thx ;).

  • Sounds like a 1641 or 1776. The numbers makes me want to opt for 1776

  • check out the 67 vert ghia subaru turbo ,on the samba

  • What's the displacement of the engine? Is it a stock 1600?

  • I couldn't tell you, this car was just at the dyno day. Sorry

  • yes. it's a stock engine, you fucking genius.

  • Well, I can see that perfectly, by the complete lack of distinguishing characteristics observable from outside the engine compartment.

Please forgive me for this egregious error, since most of my experience is on THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY and UP HORSEPOWER LS1 V-8 engines.

  • Don't worry about those wore out volkswagens, you wouldn't understand. Just stick with the turnkey chromies out of the edelbrock catalog.

  • lol nice comment, cause old stock volkswagen engines aren't capable of 320 horsepower and up, but modded they can get well over that and be one of the best sleepers around.

  • 320hp 5.7L engines, I'm scared! I have a 341WHP car with a 2.4L engine....ROFL

    Go shave your mullet please.....

  • That's a very respectable power output indeed. The whole car looks beautifully finished.
