  • The ingredient is tough in the same way potato was tough. Yes, it's in everything. The problem is finding a way to showcase the natural flavors instead of using it almost like a utility.

  • Yay! Thanks :)

  • perfect episode! Now i know what to make for dinner :)

  • I loved Alton all scruffy looking & a bit chubby. Idk, that's just me tho lol

  • I love the first reaction to the secret ingredient: Wow those are cool bottles!

  • Mario Batali isn't wearing orange crocs in the intro!!!

  • hey mchan :D you should stop disabling comments or ratings for videos... they are AMAZING. i dont know how you can possibly get bad ratings or comments. im sure many people want to thank you for your vids. i too, THANK YOU

    Good Luck!!!

  • xD they always go crazy when the ice cream machines on!

  • THE ICE CREAM MACHINE IS ON!!

  • "God bless 'em, they're using lard."

  • two lovely ladies with the very sexy bottles. i like those. (^^,)

  • This didn't seem like a very difficult secret ingredient

  • @markncheese especially not when in the challenger's intro said she specialized in cheeses and such.

  • does anyone else think the chairman is attractive?

  • @acaspers lol i do!! i also think he has a sexy voice haha

  • Does anyone know where can i find the recipes for this battle ? :)

  • Two very beautiful ladies cooking awesome food! What more could anyone want in an Iron Chef competition?

  • i love the music at the beggining... and both their titties

  • There's a great Alton Brown T-Shirt that says "Give Lard a Chance" :D

  • THE ICE CREAM MACHINE IS ONNN~!!@e

  • THE ICE CREAM MACHINE IS ON!!!

  • "And it is lard. God bless 'em, they're using lard."

    I couldn't agree more.

  • looks like semen

  • kybocha squash is super good in soup

  • Yeah i'm not a huge fan of Flay either...but also not a huge fan of Cora. Batali and Morimoto are the shit

  • As much as I hate to say this, I wish they'd used Flay in this one (don't like him... wish they used Batalli and Morimoto more!). I like Cora and I have seen her make some great stuff, but this seemed more suited to Flay's style.

  • It would totally suck if they dropped the bottles at 3:53

  • LOL the chairman is hilarious

  • It would be better if the Chairman actually took a real bite out of the apple instead of just faking it.

Then again, so much of modern American culture is all about faking it.

    Sigh.

  • the secret ingredient is kinda lame cuz its already in a lot of recipes (at least in western cuisine). but i guess the real challenge is taking cream/milk which is usually a small ingredient and convertining it into the lead ingredient. awesome bottles too

  • that chairman is WAY over the top... U GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!

  • Not much of a secret ingredient if everyone knows what it is.

  • their point is that the secret ingredient is unknown and they reveal it in the start only which means they have to make it on the spot. kinda hard

  • im pretty sure its not actually on the spot. how else would everyone know what to do.

  • @gloomywillow The chefs are given a list of possible secret ingredients, from which they plan their meals and request special ingredients for the producers to purchase. In addition, the secret ingredient is revealed to the chefs 15 minutes before the actual battle begins. So, it's not totally on the spot, they have thought about it before and they do have some time to discuss their meals. But it is still tough!

  • In the Japan version no one knew what the secrete ingredient was until the audience knew. which made the Japanese much harder.

  • @ArtamisBlack actually they were told a list of possible themes (10) 2 weeks before the show

  • i just found out cora is a lesbian, and is married, and has kids, that's real disturbing

  • How or why can the happiness of someone else possibly be considered disturbing?

  • she must be from Cali where you can meet women like that. Pfffft.

  • Nothing wrong with being a lesbian, but I do find it interesting to hear that so many famous female chefs are. Why would be an interesting sociological study.

  • The beginning is always my favourite (followed closely by the tasting part). It is so ridiculously overly dramatic, but I just love it...

    "Milk...... AND CREAM!" :D:D

  • there cccchirman is very o.a.

  • hey yeah

  • Does this music remind anyone of Pirates of the Caribbean?

  • Who's cuisine reigns supreme? That's one of lifes most sought after questions? Are you freaking serious?

And once again, dude relax! It's just milk & cream. Switch to decaf you spazz!

  • cdowell1976: Dude, the overblown dramaticness is half the fun of Iron Chef!

Chairman Kaga was even MORE of a big ham in the original Japanese show. Don't believe me, go watch an episode.

  • He says savory questions, not sought after.

  • LMAOOOOOOO those bottles are 2 STEPS AWAY FROM BEING BONGs LOLOLOLOL

  • lol! all the Iron Chefs are mad Stoners i bet.

  • if you watch iron chef japan it more epic lol just look at the host...

  • hahahaha, those r really cool bottles....

    {=o

yea, they are really cool bottles

  • only america cud make cooking epic..

    how do they do it

  • those are cool bottles
