it pisses me off when UNC fans talk smack before the football games, and sure make it seem like they are rivals with state, but as soon as we beat them, its back to the same old same old "whatever, we're not even rivals with you"
SEC fan here, but this rivalry reminds me so much of my home state rivalry in MS. I used to live in N.C. and have always wondered why this game isn't always played as the final regular season game, in the traditional rivalry week. ??
@lochwharral Duke is technically perceived as a bigger rival then State is but I actually prefer wolfpacker's answer that they just don't want to end their season on a losing note!
