she hulk's air grab starts up in 4+3 frames and the first 8 are invincible. that means there's one frame where her grab is invincible while it's active. i've seen she hulk try to one shot phoenix and still get hit, i've also seen dark phoenix use an air grab after her transformation to grabbed she hulk out of her hyper! lol!

I'm planning on becoming a Nemesis main, with Wesker, and Ryu as assists. Can anyone say that perhaps this whole thing can be done with Nemesis' Lvl.3 Grab Hyper? I'd assume it's range is almost as good as Spider-Man's, Super Skrull's or maybe She-Hulk's? That depends though I guess, if they make the Dark Phoenix transformation more easily punishable as a whole.

There's another trick about Spider-Man when it comes to Phoenix's transformation: if you connect with MS pretty close to the ground, *the recovery from the super tweaks Spidey's hurt-box so low that the transformation won't blow him away*. You can then do a simple air-combo that ends in MS and you have a phoenix sent back to the ashes.

he's getting some pretty big buffs, especially to his lvl 3 Hyper/Super, itll now be able to hit things right above the ground instead of missing during a Ground Bounce, plus their allowing him to use Dark Spell Creation/Destruction in the air, but only once per jump/air movement, and ocne used you fall back to the ground unable to do squat till you hit the ground

I couldn't get the timing down for Spidey but I accidentally came across a ridiculously easy method. Since my team has Spidey and Iron man I do maximum spider then dhc into iron avenger, the best part is you have a huge opening for it, you can input it anytime during her whole "I can't control it" animation!!!!
The best part about this video is that I have this song and band on my xbox and it does go well with fighting games like marvel. Glad to see Invaders must die elsewhere, I also always love seeing spidey look good.

@MechacideZERO8 Broken is not a term I use lightly. What else would you call a character that completely makes you change the way you have to play the round and often make the previous 80 seconds of a round completely irrelevant in the blink an eye.
For all these fancy setups, I've only seen Evil Rashan use them in tourney and even then, he's only landed them successfully a handful of times. Some would say that having to play Spiderman is a pretty big handicap in and of itself as well.
@CrouchStrong I'd call it OP. It's not like she's unbeatable, or literally breaks the game. And Spiderman isn't a bad character. People just give up too easily these days, or expect to be able to win however they like. If Phoenix is "broken" or "OP" then just use her yourself. If you don't want to, and you can't beat her, then lose. Goku never cried about losing, he just got stronger.

I'm THOUROUGLY happy by this because she-hulk is one of me characters. Jwong is obviously gonna try to perfect this as a backup if he can't snap her in early.
In theory, can't this work with Hsien-Ko invincibility-like hyper? DHC into it and the blast shouldn't move Hsien-Ko and she should be able to proceed with punishing Dark Phoenix?

due to the fact that almost no one uses spiderman or skrull the invincible hyper into She-Hulk air throw is easily the most practical way, since you dont have to worry so much about perfectly timing the link. Not to mention that Akuma &She-Hulk are already used a lot by top players
In this one video alone, Phoenix's tier shall drop exponentially. For every user will now be mastering this single combo for the phoenix users. Soon, all players around the world will get tired of losing because of Phoenix getting raped in one single combo. The scene of the Marvel Vs Capcom age is changing....until Capcom makes a patch that makes the invincibility frames to her Dark Phoenix Transformation higher! :D
@Riako Well phoenix is still a really good character in the first place so getting the setup versus a good phoenix player is gonna be difficult, but scrub phoenix's will probably disappear which is a great thing in it of itself.
Can you do any invincible hypers or can she block as soon as she comes out? As in, can she block say... a gamma crush? What about counters to the hitbox of the darkphonenix deal, and then follow up with otgs?
This is seriously one of the most informative and interesting videos in all of MvC3, and anybody serious about competing is going to need to incorporate similar technology into their team and strategy
@RoninOmega7 I don't use spencer but judging from how Spencer have invincible start, its almost like Spidy's setup, u need to kill her with OTG and use Bionic Lancer (or as lots of ppl call it BIONIC MARN) right before the transformation (can't control it part) begin, then u might be able to nail her with it. I don't have specific on it, but that's an idea.
@TehTechnoGuy P. Gorath uses him with Wolverine and Shuma, you'll find a lot of archived Wednesday night fights footage with him in, although he often plays his Phoenix team.

Phoenix is broken and has been from day 1. Frankly it surprises me that she hasn't been banned yet.
Consider that these teams don't necessarily have great synergy, so you're gimping yourself just to be able to kill one very poorly designed character.
Phoenix makes an already shitty game even shittier.

@MechacideZERO8 Broken is not a term I use lightly. What else would you call a character that completely makes you change the way you have to play the round and often make the previous 80 seconds of a round completely irrelevant in the blink an eye.
For all these fancy setups, I've only seen Evil Rashan use them in tourney and even then, he's only landed them successfully a handful of times. Some would say that having to play Spiderman is a pretty big handicap in and of itself as well.

@CrouchStrong I'd call it OP. It's not like she's unbeatable, or literally breaks the game. And Spiderman isn't a bad character. People just give up too easily these days, or expect to be able to win however they like. If Phoenix is "broken" or "OP" then just use her yourself. If you don't want to, and you can't beat her, then lose. Goku never cried about losing, he just got stronger.

In theory, can't this work with Hsien-Ko invincibility-like hyper? DHC into it and the blast shouldn't move Hsien-Ko and she should be able to proceed with punishing Dark Phoenix?

@CannedJamOtaku No because the reason these setup works is that their meaty untechable air grabs, If you tried anything with Hsien-Ko, Dark Pheonix would just be able to block

due to the fact that almost no one uses spiderman or skrull the invincible hyper into She-Hulk air throw is easily the most practical way, since you dont have to worry so much about perfectly timing the link. Not to mention that Akuma &She-Hulk are already used a lot by top players

In this one video alone, Phoenix's tier shall drop exponentially. For every user will now be mastering this single combo for the phoenix users. Soon, all players around the world will get tired of losing because of Phoenix getting raped in one single combo. The scene of the Marvel Vs Capcom age is changing....until Capcom makes a patch that makes the invincibility frames to her Dark Phoenix Transformation higher! :D

@Riako Well phoenix is still a really good character in the first place so getting the setup versus a good phoenix player is gonna be difficult, but scrub phoenix's will probably disappear which is a great thing in it of itself.

Can you do any invincible hypers or can she block as soon as she comes out? As in, can she block say... a gamma crush? What about counters to the hitbox of the darkphonenix deal, and then follow up with otgs?

@RoninOmega7 I don't use spencer but judging from how Spencer have invincible start, its almost like Spidy's setup, u need to kill her with OTG and use Bionic Lancer (or as lots of ppl call it BIONIC MARN) right before the transformation (can't control it part) begin, then u might be able to nail her with it. I don't have specific on it, but that's an idea.
