One time, I saw a charter bus stop at the RR Crossing, looked both ways and started of but, he didn;t look properly, as soon as he started, the gates went down and all most hit the bus.
On track dialog and regardless of background noise and distractions. Sometimes I do wish I had a few million to help people like this fellow bring his efforts to professional reality. What remains is a young man doing his very best with what tools he has -- an excellent work. ~ JK, 2safeschools

2safeschools: Thank you very much sir. I intend to keep doing this. I have acquired better production software (the newest ones look and sound a little better). There will always be quality loss for youtube just by the nature of compression and re-formatting. Just added a short video 'Habitual'. It might interest you.
The manual doesn't recommend using the parking brake it says to apply the service brakes OR the parking brake. Makes more sense to not use the parking brake, takes too much time and you must bend over to set it, which takes your eyes and concentration off of the tracks. Plus if there is some sort of malfunction with the service brake, you could be stuck at the crossing, which is a dangerous situation. What do you mean by any recommendation has the weight of law in court?

What happens if the crossing is marked with exempt and has a traffic light controlling the intersection with the tracks?

Good Job. Most people do not understand what is required of a bus driver at a rail grade crossing.
