  • did she braid the top and twist the rest?

  • Oh thank the Lord u i did this vid, i wanna get loc'd when i move to NC but didnt know where to go or who to go to. I will def try her out and mention u and ur page, hey maybe you'll get a free service!! Thank ya!!

  • I started mine off braided at the.roots then into two strand but when it was time to twist the 3 stand braid part didnt want to twist

  • love it you cool the which

  • I was thinking about combing my locs out and starting over. Mine were started with comb coils.... Idk yet. Still debating. Will be at the one year mark in November.

  • I like your two strand twists. Your locs will cultivate nicely. They seem to fit you and your personality well. Love it Sis!

  • LOL means love on line. Just happy to see you happy. Be blessed.

  • Has your hair been cut? It seemed longer in other videos.

  • @ravencherokeesymone Nope, I've never cut my hair. My hair shrinks up when it's twisted :o)

  • Beautiful Locs. LOL :-)

  • @naturally4us Thank you but what's so LOL-ish? ;op

  • YAY they look nice =) good luck on your journey!

  • @prettipoison27 Thanks girlie! Hopefully they'll be as pretty as yours!

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro aww schucks lol, thank you!

  • please dont become discouraged this time...I hope everything works out for you this go round. two strands were an easier and perfect method for me after 3 tries. And maintanice is easy peasy esp since i do it myself! Good luck!!

  • @shamia3121 It doesn't even seem like I'm locing again because they're just two strand twists......and I used to wear two strand twist a lot! I loved having them in and hated when I had to take the twists out. So it's kinda going to be like I'm just rockin' two strand twists for a mighty long time :o)

  • @smiles2dayTears2morro I started taking them down on saturday. Today is monday. Yes I am going to record my journey too. I have called in my arsenal of help, my daughter and God daughter. So hopefully I will be finished tomorrow. I cant wait to get mine washed, conditioned and twisted again. I missed my hair. Check my vids soon

  • @mrskinton Oooo can't wait to watch your journey too!

  • Here we go again. Im ready to see this journey. Love the size !! Good luck sis

  • @ebonydivine1 Lol I know I know. Hope I can hang in there this time. Thanks girlie :o)

  • woah woah woah- this salon is in charlotte...i'm in charlotte...are you in charlotte?

  • @applesandmustard Hey Dari! Yup, it's in Charlotte! No, I'm not in Charlotte but my sister lives there so I'll be up there to visit often. I'm 3 hours away (in Boring-ville....I mean Fayetteville). You started your locs with two strand twist too right?

  • @applesandmustard .....continued (from my last reply).....Whoops never mind, I just remembered that you started yours with comb coils :o)

  • CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR JOURNEY.......LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR NAILS

  • @lewdona Thanks a bunch!

  • so I just reached my one year today and made the decision today to take them down and start over with two strands. your vid just sealed it for me. They are still way to small for me. I've combined them and I'm still not completely satisfied. So the process began tonight and will continue until they are all down.......thanks again

  • @mrskinton Wow, one year! Have you started taking them out yet? You're gonna record your new journey on yt too right?

  • Looks great!!!

  • @frenchiedee Thx!

  • Girl you are just like me We can not leave the Locs along for long I am locking back up on the 20th!!!

  • @LocsandBeautyOhMy Oh goodie! I can't wait to see yours too.

  • YAY!!! Make sure you keep us up to date on this!!!

  • @NaturalSnP08 I will :o)

  • Your hair looks gorgeous! I have sisterlocks, but when I see your baby twists and bronzegoddess it makes me want traditionals. Lol. Your vids are great! Best of luck to you on your journey!

  • @elease03 Thank you! I loved my SL but I wanted to maintain them all by myself but I didn't know how and they were too small to work with on my own. YES, I love the Bronzgoddess' hair. She started with two strand twist too.

  • I really like them and your hair looks very healthy.:-)

  • @Nanaslittleblessing Thank you so much!

  • I like the look, I have been thinking of going there. I checked out the webpage but they don't have prices, how much for that style. Looking forward for updates on your journey

  • @nanatonyasia It was $90. Included a wonderful wash and detangling as well.

  • Love them! They look so awesome on you :)

  • @Yomalex3 Thank you hun!

  • I have to say these look the best...and they seem like they are going to be a good size

  • @PunkinLPN Thank you! I really hope they condense a little though.

  • @deemiddle Thank you! Yes, yaaaay locs!

  • They are very cute. Yay! Ur back on team locs/dreads lol :)

  • @SahLah81 Thank you! Your locs are very pretty! Yaaay for team locs ;op

  • what her take them out by next month...lol

  • They look pretty and congrats on your new journey. From the looks of your parts your locs are going to be thick and beautiful. The size of the parts (the base of the loc), density of the hair, and amount of locs installed all help to determine the thickness of the locs.

  • @Netta2 Thank you! I hope they're not too thick.

  • Hey grl! It looks great. I was thinking abt getting mine again but my hair is up to my shoulders can I still get it palm rolled? Might b a stupid q...cuz I didn't want to do the two strand

  • @PrettyLuv100 My hair (stretched out) is up to my shoulder too. That's why she started them w/ two strand twists instead......though I'm sure if you want to start them off with coils you can (I think). Mine will be maintained by palm rolling.

  • looks so pretty on u

  • Did I tell you I took my locs down? Yea... I did....

Good luck with this set. The twists look really nice and juicy!

  • @Yekinae2 You took 'em out? How long were they in? Well, I know you're hair is still gorgeous.....whether you have locs or not :o)

  • I wasn't able to reply to the question on you old video, but I have attempted to loc my own hair and failed :(( !!! I have started my son's locs when he was 2 now he will be 9 in Sept. I personally love, love, love, them. I just got the afro puff for now. Congrats!! your hair is beautiful. Have fun on your loc journey !!!!!

  • @dibbled33 Which video? Did you start your son's locs with coils or two strand twists?

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro The one that you said that you was coming to Charlotte to get your locs started. I started his with the coils. The only problem I have now with his is the migrating locs :( I just re-twist once every other month or less. He is heading to half back length. I have to figure out how to put up photos. I have an account but never made videos. I think I suck. ^_^. Just love your vids.

  • They are so gorgeous!!!!!

  • @LocdNLovelyRita Thanks hun!

  • nice! good luck with this journey

  • @naomirain Thank you!

  • I''ve had my hair styled by her before... She is good. Alot of women at my job get their hair done by them.

  • @azurretown I love her shop too. Nice and cozy :o)

  • Very pretty! They look nice and full too!..I'm so thinking about getting locks!

  • @4Peaches1 Thank you. Well, whaddaya waiting for? :o)

  • BTW, your wedding ring is SERIOUS bling; your nails are on point; your hurr has a nice sheen and is healthy looking; and your pics at the end are so cute! You have a bubbly, vibrant, youthful personality!

  • @akamizzT LOL Thank you. We'll make 12 years in September :o) Awwww thx.....you're so sweet!

  • Your hair looks very nice! Will they be sisterlocks this time or thicker than that? LOL, sorry if you already answered that in the video. Also, I can relate to you switching up with your hair. My switching up is mostly involves products (and styling procedures). I often use VO5, but I cheat on him sometimes then end up going right back home to my baby! =P Sometimes, I'll say, I'll never use Fantasia IC gel again, then years later, I relapse, then go to rehab and get clean again. =p

  • @akamizzT No, they are not and will not look like my sisterlocks. My sisterlocks were itty bitty and were started using a special tool. I loved my sisterlocks but I wanted to maintain them myself (didn't wanna spend anymore money) but I didn't take the maintenance class.

It's okay to switch up on your hair. It's YOUR hair and you can do what you'd like......like i do :)

  • I started my locs @ Lock Stars too! They do great work.

  • @TheKia06 They sure do!! Heeeeey that makes us lock sisters :o)

  • Hi is there a reason why you went back to locks?

  • @OMANI91 I always find myself going back to locs. I took the other sets out for different reasons.

  • Your hair looks so neatly done. April did a good job on your hair. Have a good 4th of July. (Natalia)

  • @nat3803 Thank you! Hope you had a great 4th!

  • @RetroVintageChic86 I really wanted to make sure that my locs were all the same size and she did a great job. Get it done? I already did. lol

  • @Urnombreaqui YUP! That's where I got April's info from! Yeah, April said that Nikkimo gets her hair done there too whenever she's in Charlotte. April is awesome!

  • Here we go again

  • @buccy64 Here I go again, ya'll are just along for the ride ;op

  • Congrats!

  • @darknlovely1127 Thank you!

  • okay..let's get this journey started!!! looking good

  • @TheNaturallyou Yup! Thanks!

  • Luv it, they look great on u.

  • @tichatte1 Thx!

  • your hair look nice

  • @Myrlourah Thank you!

  • jamaican castor oil can help with your edges.

    ~Anne

  • @Anne249 I think I heard about that somewhere else too. Maybe I should give it a try.

  • They are really cute :) How many do you have? Will you have to band them so they won't unravel during washing?

  • @rmcandlelight Thanks a bunch! I haven't counted them yet. I don't think I'll have to band them like I did w/ my sisterlocks. I'm gonna let her do the first wash and retwist in 4 weeks so if they do unravel she can fix 'em for me.

  • Love it! They're going to be nice and thick!

  • @Buddhalocks Thanks sis! :)

  • Lockstar.....in Charlotte?!!!! O_o

    They look great!

  • @NotoriousLYNappy1 Have you heard of them before?

    Thanks :o)

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro Yes ma'am! Saw their demos at the Hair event in Charlotte last fall!

So is that where you relocated to?

  • @NotoriousLYNappy1 Ooooh, I'd love love love to go to a hair event. There was one in Atlanta about a month ago but I missed it :o/ No, I'm not in Charlotte. I just heard about her and decided to get them done by her.

  • I can tell your locs are gonna turn out really nice!

i started my locs the same way a week ago, but i did them myself!

But then i washed my hair and it went POOF

    T_T

    lol

but anyway, i look forward to your journey!!

  • @SupahSuckahTv Thanks! Uh oh....are you gonna start them again?

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro No, my hair is still twisted, but was REALLY frizzy. But then I gave in and retwisted them. My hair's starting to go through that ugly stage -.-

  • I can't believe how long and thick your hair (still) is after taking your Sisterlocks out not too long ago. I think this set is a keeper for you. I love the size, the pattern - I wish there were locticians in my area... You look fab!

  • @MochaKnitster007 Yup......whew I will never forget taking those suckers out! 9 whole days EEK!

  • Nice. I started my locs with 2 strand twists. Comming up on a year in August. I was surprised how they turned out. The twist pattern definitely goes away. Took about 9 months for me. I just wish my parts were even as yours tho. lol

    Enjoy them.

  • @KaeBo205 Are they puffy or did they stay the same?

  • @Smile2DayTears2Morro they puffed a lot. but when I started letting them dry braided after each retwist, they started to get the tight compressed look.

  • @KaeBo205 Ahh okay. Good idea.

  • hey Amy! Nice! Good to see you! Hugs!

  • @ItsXp3erynce Hey Leah! Good to see you too! Hugs!

  • Your locs are going to be nice!

  • @314gail Thank you! I think so too :o)

  • pretty :-)

  • @GenuinelyGiGi Thanks!

  • Beautiful!

  • @nriccaboni Thanks hun!

  • Love them! They are a nice size. I went to a loctician to start off too. (still go b/c I'm spoiled lol)

  • part braid/part twist is exactly how I got mine started. I'm going to check her out. Don't forget to be patient...the pattern will go away. I am 9 mos in and mine look like locs. There will be shrinkage...I hate that part but (sigh) just part be being a natural girl.....

  • @mpenny226 I didn't even know she started it like that (braid at the base) but I like it! Gonna check out yours now. Yeah, they shrunk a tid bit the very next day.

  • @mpenny226 lol we should all be spoiled every now and then. I know that wash was awesome!

  • your hair look very healthy and the locks look great. cant wait until they get longer to see how they look.

  • @LoveMe1st2LoveOthers Thank you :)
