  • BRAVO!

  • It's still my favorite martial art. I was raised a wrestler, through a weird set of circumstances I taught Krav Maga, but this is a true martial art.

  • @jj987987987 ECG, EEG etc. show that the human body is producing electricity and therefore elektromagnetic fields. Vibrating elektricity or so called alternating current produces elektromagnetic fields in circular forms. This can be measured with very sensitive electronic equipment.

  • @TaoPiet the whole universe is based on magnetism.. It's the secert behind all religions. "God" is the Equilibrium, the source of the field that creates thru magnetism. Yin/Yang , Male/Female, +/-, Neutrons, Atoms, Electrons, "as above,so below", the "David star" .. see these symbols in light of magnetism and you know the "big" secrets. The Ancients knew it, the pyramids where made with it. Switch off the particles in the stones where gravitiy is and it will levitate up..

  • 360 is a circle anything thing else is a screwed up oval

  • Think in electro-magnetic fields. They function also circular.

  • @TaoPiet have you ever try to test your energy on a electron meter?

  • that is not a circle

  • @erikrulez17 circulation that is. Remember, there is no perfect circle. It's actually quite hard to define what is a circle.

  • lol

  • Tai Chi instruction by an Elcor... so enthusiastic...

  • to all of you who talk about stuff they don't know, or do hard martial arts, I dare you to go test your "strength" in soft arts like Tai-Chi, or Aikido ;-)

You WILL find out the importance of circular motions, it's up to you if it's the hard way, or if you'll learn the soft way. Took me over 10 years to discover this, been interested in MA for over 15yrs, and gone to many different schools and dojos before found my way.

  • Marty Stouffer?

  • this was complete nonsense. i'd like to see this applied in push-hands. let me make a million dollar bet that it makes not a jot of difference to how tai-ji is done. the explanation is also juvenile and has little to nothing to do with biomechanics.

  • THis is not bullshit...this is a demonstration of a specific principal...thats common in all complicated fields of knowledge...math, physics, biology...there are always students baffled struggling to think of applications or relevence in any given piece of information. Tai chi is very hard...how the hell do you create a situation where circular power arises using only your own muscles? practice for years, youll find out, and have superior power.

  • check 'the cowboy scene' from Mullholland Drive ...he's using the same sort of speaking

  • 0:28 two human beans

  • HEY!!! Leave Stephen Hawking alone! I knew I recognized that voice...

  • i think this guy is like a kid lol , he believe whatever he think without knowing that we already know what's a muscle , like a guy in 2050 witch keep thinking that the earth is the center of universe cause de sun turn around it lol , never seen something so stupid , he should call a psy

  • I think this video have little if anything to do with tai chi, humans. or cicular power,

  • I really enjoy Tai Chi and have practiced the 108 and 44 movement fighting form as well as long term involvement in Eskrima. I just got to laugh a this useless bantner. My only problem with the so-called "internal arts" is some of the drain pipe sniffers, and so called new wavers that are attracted to it. We seem to forget that it is a martial art first and it is a shame that it is hardly ever practiced in that way first. There is much more to this art than a warm and fuzzy feeling.

  • Bueller. Bueller. Bueller.

  • This is bull.

  • Oh my god, this is like a health video you'd see in school in the 90s. From the 70s.

  • wow this vid is horrible lol i almost killed myself half way thru LOL

  • @ all you haters, i dont know this guy either but hes trying to share information with people who are open and have a genuine interest , while you all are just talkin shit getting a laugh out of your own misery and lack of love. you think youre on a path?!

  • All I can really say is that I feel sorry for you.. by the sound of the voice alone you must be very troubled, confused, bored, hungry, depraved.. sorry.

  • there are so many things very VERY wrong with this video I don't even know where to begin.... it's basically taking everything we know about mechanics and throwing it in the toilet. And the voice.....sounds like a suicidal Microsoft Sam to say the least.

  • Ive never seen anything more stupid as fuck

  • In the first example the arm swings in an arc does not move in a straight line.

  • awww fuck u man, i used nerly 4 min of my life on this :P, good i "learned" some thing i hope i did know....

  • This is so lame- bro- take it down...lol

  • this has to be a joke. no subtlety in the humour so....pile of the shit.

  • This is not the circular motion, the motion comes from the body, to demonstrate the arm alone removes the whole concept of the art. Too overcomplicated, and even on that fact its overcomplicating the wrong thing. "Pointing at the moon and only seeing the finger"

  • I suppose the content of this video isn't wrong "per-say". Though, it seems a little dunce to me. Not to mention the arm movement can still be seen as a linear movement. It's about perception. Since we don't all have slings made of sheets for tendons, this is not an accurate demonstration. It would be better to just say, "observe the motion at the hand, see how it moves in a circular form as it raises." That is my opinion.

    Respectfully,

  • Do not make a video about it, it's time for everyone to learn.

  • why can't we just open the gates like rock lee and beast mode on everyone XD

  • I think this video demonstrates that your limbs are moved by magical invisible towels, and that we DONT have biceps, shoulder muscles, or quads... How stupid must we be to think SCIENCE is right lol. Stupid anatomy, gosh... There's other videos by this critter, about kangaroos, anyone else remember those? It was hilarious haha.

  • Yes! it makes so much sense!

If I can just take a circle of cloth into a fight with me I will always win!

But seriously... how the hell does this demonstrate in any way a correlation between tai chi and circular power?

You have yet to mention how a circle has anything to do with power, and most importantly how it even has ANYTHING to do with tai chi...

I feel this omission is important seeing as you describe AND label your video as providing this answer, because of this you, sir, are an ass!!!

  • @Ankoku15

its a demonstration of the base of chinese martial arts: power is generated by a circular movement, in the same way as u would have a steel ball on a chain: u have to swing the chain in a circular motion to hit the ball into the taget. Karate on the other hand uses more straight lined techniques, imagine u change the ball into a steel rod: the best way to generate force in this way is to use that rod lika a spear. Its about to deliver as much force as possible on a small area.

  • This is not a human voice, it is an extremely well programmed text-to-voice reader, as used by many youtube users to mask their identity

  • Bueller? Bueller?

  • Its a mind set. If you think tai chi is real it will give you confidence. Thinking in a certain way helps you to fight in a certain way & vice versa. TKD, Ninja, Samauri, Judo, Arnis all have there mind sets.

You have to understand that the martial arts will rule over you, it has evil inherently in it. Without the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord over your life you will fall into wickedness.

Jesus came to set you free, he paid for your sins with his own life. This is the real way to live. Amen

  • Blah blah blah... Blah blah blah...Blah blah blah...Blah blah blah...Blah blah blah...

    ZZZZZzzzzzzz.....ZZZZZzzzzzzz.....ZZZZZzzzzzzz.....ZZZZZzzzzzzz.....

  • @RevPro12 you said it!

  • Well, Stephen Hawking might be a good cosmologist but this video demonstrates that he knows f*ck all about martial arts or biomechanics.

Stephen, Go read some text books about muscles, levers and the way that the body works....

  • LOL "here is a picture of a 'real life' person..."

  • Highly enthusiastic. I stayed awake throughout..........

  • you are so enthousiastic...

  • Son of a bitch, he didn't reveal the answer to the last question in the video, he got me so aroused on the edge of my seat....

  • This may be one of the dumbest things i've ever seen. You honestly believe that you are on to something don't you, that you really have a handle on the art, or even the most crude ability to compose transitive reasoning. I was hoping this was a joke.

  • your dumb.

  • thank you

  • you just need to tell me how did this demonstration of yours applies to tai chi

  • how can tai chi be explain by a non Chinese bull shit how can they understand

  • Dud your the most slowest guy i ever herd... that vid was a waste of time. Its sounded and was boring. WARNING: To all people that watched this do not get mad at the vid,, get mad at the boring guy. Mabe hes gay. who knows.

  • this video makes a mockery of kung fu

  • So how DO YOU move your arm in a circular movement. There is no pulling the cloth from behind.

  • Sorry to disappoint you but this ain't tai chi o_0

And btw no 1 can move the arm STRAIGHTLY dumbass o_0 ur shoulder is the center, the radius (from the center to the elbow) aint change, move by straight line---> your bone can be contracted? Wow o_0

Tai chi is about center of gravity and using your whole body to do some moves. Practicing circular actions enables you to understand your body better o_0.

You obviously do not know anything about tai chi o_0 Read more, man

    Btw ur voice sucks...

  • wtf

  • this guys makes stupid ass videos

  • your great man dont care about the comments of the you tubers just keep walking

  • I THINK WE CAN MOVE OUR LIMBS IN CIRCULAR OR ANY OTHER BILLIONS OF DIRECTIONS USING JUST THREE STRAIGHT MUSCLES

(gay muscles not needed) I dont get it what can you do with a circular muscle

other than stoping shit from dropping off your ass

    like anal sphincters

  • this vid sucks ass man, also wats wrong with that voice? the vid again sucks!!!!

  • 0:01, 0:02, 0:03... fell asleep...

  • It's weird... His voice is irritating, but all his concepts are true.

  • This is so attention getting. I can't turn away!

  • AHAHAJHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAJAAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAHAJAHAJAHAJAAHAJAHAJAHAAHAJAHJAhAJAhAjAAHAJAHAAJAAAA

... Isn't that being pulled by force. not pushed O.O???

  • lol learning this will take years to discover...or i'll just make a video of it lol

  • lmao a cloth man that was genius

  • Perhaps the worst explanation of anything, EVER.

Not only wrong, but so un-neccesarilly complex it almost convinces one his intuitive grasp of the concept is flawed.

    Almost.

  • that was just bad.

  • 3 friggin words: WASTE OF TIME

i mean you move your arms why do people have make a name for it it is called being alive GOSH!

  • makes heeps of sense if you shlong suckers can think outside the box

  • huffing paint does not make you an expert at anything.

  • Your understanding of basic mechanics is as lacking as your understanding of anatomy. There is only one application of forces that occurs when elbow or knee flexion occur, and you haven't demonstrated it in either.

  • too complicated. Its completely not worth the time

  • you have a very interesting delivery style: factual and detached and highly detail-focused; i wonder if you might have Asperger's or autism? Your videos seem to teach us how to look at things as you do. You would be a natural candidate for a process engineering / factory automation / quality control role!

  • In russia we call it torsion force

  • i dont know how much time u have wasted making this, but i know that i just wasted 3 minutes watching a sheep explain how to put up your arm and lift your leg

  • haha lol

  • this video made me want to jump off of a bridge into a fiery abyss. try sounding a bit enthused or something. please. for the love of god.

  • The answer to the question at the end does not take years to understand. It is so simple- It is the coordination of muscles, bones and joints. That is all!

  • wtf man

  • Yeah.. that was not some cool tai chi secret :)

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • haha your teaching common sense not tai chi chuan.

  • I didn't realise Stephen Hawking was a Tai Chi Chuan practitioner...

  • z z z z z z z z z........

  • You pedantic ****.

  • very inthusiastic voice

  • Comment removed

  • String theory states that everything is conected with energy in a way but all that other stuff you are talking about has nothing to do with String theory

  • Thanks! I've been looking for the key to unlock the knowledge of all ancient arts and sciences.

I guess I'll be off now to study the great trout and egg!

  • this painful to watch and listen to and i like taiji :(

  • retardation ,just by listen confuse to what i already know

  • fanny retarded video...

  • and btw the cloth on the leg should be wrapped around the knee, you can use that to strike also

  • he isnt completely wrong, but he is only showing one circle on the body. he needs to show them all and how there used together, or not maybe you people dont deserve to know

  • this is a load of crap

  • bullshit. and im not even gona start about that monotone voice.

  • hahaha agreed. You have selected Microsoft Sam as the computer's default voice...

  • totally agree with egg09seed and tb0nemusic but i just can't help myself to watch this guy's video so i can know how much more crap he has got

  • this guys vids suck so much ass but i cant stop watching to make fun of him

  • @tb0nemusic LOL.

  • @tb0nemusic it has to be a very lame joke

  • @tb0nemusic I'm surre the rest of the world thinks the same about you.

  • This is such crap it's not even funny... The arms work like a cantilever, pivoting about the joints... so no matter how you move your arms the motion will always be the result of one or more arcs.

You are making a false distinction between normal movement and the movement in Tai Chi as well as misrepresenting what is generally understood by Circular Power.

All told a very unhelpful video.

  • jackass

  • THAT VOICE!

  • The voice is killing me...

  • The result is still the same if you pull someone's arm up with a single line tied to the wrist so seriusly this is one method to move something with ease. If you acturaly knew what Tai chi was then you would know its a method of inner peace and self defence designed not to strike but to move in one motion out of the path of an object. But mostly inner peace.

  • And yet, most tai chi moves are slow forms of martial art - developed in order to break limbs or otherwise incapacitate a person. Tai chi represents inner happiness and peace, but may be achieved through different methods of transferral of energy -chi or qi, or sometimes written as gi. The most popular form in the west is in the form of martial art, in the movements used, and can therefore be described as violent.

  • Physics 101 people: there is no such thing as "circular force".

Arm rotation comes from the differential in straight line forces inside of the arm structure about a cantilever causing a Moment.

While the ultimate idea behind the idea might have some outside applicability, the theory behind it is complete rubbish.

  • Physics is a funny thing because it acts like you would expect most of the time, however, there are times where physics dont act at all like youd like.

  • "there are times where physics dont act at all like youd like"

It's not like we wish, there are rules, but the physics always works.

  • Double Slit Experiment.

  • then why do things like gravity and magnetism come to mind when you say "no circular forces"

sure sphere's appear circular in 2-d,..

Aside from this, why everyone is so quick to prove their own ignorance and unwillingness to open their iron clad view of elementary western science is far more amusing then THE VOICE. lol

  • I feel my arms and legs lighter, when I do that...

  • this would get ur ass kicked in a fight.

  • it's not really meant to fight with... not until years of training.

it's meant to train people, and get them understanding the core principles behind fighting to begin with.

  • And once one gets that far, well... I'd place my money on a t'ai chi practitioner sooner than an MMA fighter.

  • Answer= Vitruvia nman

  • well this is either a bad video or this whole circular power is nonsence. because wehen hes talking about the straight line forces, those are actually also circular forces, so this doesn't make any sence. explain it better, or admit this doesnt make any sence.

  • I dig it thank you:)

  • if you do not want to know how to use your arm then you can forget about using ki!

  • what has that with ki to do? i wanna use spells not know how to use my arm :P

  • would you give give 2 hours a day meditating to learn so called spells? If you want to do qi gung or nei kung for spells you have no right learning this art.

  • wow, well that tells me how th earm moves but it still leaves me haning on how circle power is important to tai chi, although i already know why because i have practiced tai chi for some time now. but i do think that the introductio of physics to explane why tai chi works is an exellent idea, please post another more complete movie.
