Pakistan - Taliban: the peace deal is definitely broken

What made anyone think that making any kind of deal with the Taliban would work? The spread of this evil is horrifying. If there even exists something called "Muslim moderates" I think we would have more from them by now. Or maybe there just aren't very many of them, the extremists are winning it seems.
