I'm not sure what it is you look for in a song to make it "good" but saying the Beatles wrote shit music is like saying Zeppelin wasn't loud enough. @danakerman I don't dispute that Bono and Edge look up to those guys for inspiration, i'll tell you what makes a good song not 'Yellow Submarine' and the like, pure and utter bull!!.. Really what I dislike is the fact that they're regarded as the 'ultimate band' like seriously the stones, the who and many of the current bands kings of leon, Oasis in the 90s all wrote better stuff!!.. just my opinion!

Their talent level compared to U2 is silly. U2 have been together for 35 years as a band, they have the greatest song of all time which is ONE. They have THE EDGE and BONO. The two greatest musicians to walk this earth. Elvis was great but still not close to U2.

don't get me wrong man, U2 is one of the greats but i think a lot of people have misconceptions about the beatles...it was incredible that they broke so much ground in such a condensed period (approx 6.5 years)..for instance, the stones are still together but the fact that they still tour to this day doesn't make them better than the beatles. But anyhow, I see where you're coming from and U2 is definitely up there...great band.

I never got to see Led Zepplin live, but from what i have seen of them I'd say they were really good live, but even at that, any act I have ever seen live No one ever has come close, no only for their pure on stage pressence but also the shows they put out too, Zoo TV Pop Mart and this new 360 tour is just totally mind blowing.

just saw U2 in barcelona the other night! fantastic gig! His voice is always excellent, but in the last few years his voice was a getting bad live. Has bono been getting voice lessons this past year? he's 100% on top form again (great to see)
