  • lol i always post this song on forums when things get a little heated :P haha

  • This is actually a band called the "Skatalites." Great song tho. = )

  • @coadyscrossinginc This is actually Bob on lead with the wailers and The Skatalites backing them

  • This is not Bob Marley. It is the Skatalites.

  • I hope everyone knows this was originally a skatalites song. Bob marley covered it. I love this version but ya gotta give credit to thos who started it all

  • Tune!

  • It's funny how no matter how pissed off where not even a joint will help Bob's music always cheers me up

thank you Bob and rest in peace ... hope to meet you soon

    One love

  • so so so good, old school Marley is just top notch!!

  • this version is from the skatalites...

  • Gracias Bob !

  • its BOB for you whom dont know before he went commercial across the world

  • Simmer down is Bob Marley's song.. he was young. Calm down discrediting Bob for this. This was when he was just a young boy. Learn a bit more about Mr. Marley.

  • My brother, this is one of Bob's very first songs. The original studio recording was with Leslie Kong on the Island. Bob's voice is brely recognizable for those who are unfamiliar with his earliest works. Listen to "Judge Not" and "One Cup of Coffee" (which were also recorded with Kong) to become better acquainted with his youthful voice.

  • the backing band is the skatalites but the singer is in fact a young bob marley. look it up, he came out with stuff with the skatalites as he was the brief frontman early in his career

  • it's not bob marley it's is skatalites

  • Glorious to be alive music -it moves the soul!

Not only is Mr. Marley's inspired in notes & tune but the content of his message with that gifted voice is sublime.

    Thanks be to G-D. +

  • @petercrowley41 ..how could you forget Beverly Kelso in the background...Simmer Down...Simmer Down.....Simmer Down..

  • @MsESQusiteAKA - I stand corrected and wonder whether I should also have credited Junior Braithwaite and Cherry Smith as well?
