This is hardly a little known fact to anyone but those that have absolutely no knowledge or education in architecture (or any other art / engineering profession).

If the video is actually targeted at that category then good job. A little more background info on each order would of been more interesting / fun.

you know this is the part i consider BULLSHIT about studying architecture..learning about all these nonsensical design criteria.aspiring architects need to cut all that garbage from their minds and focus on sustainability and green design.. on innovation and solutions that have a social, political and economical benefit...on EDUCATING through intelligently designed buildings how people should interact with and treat this planet correctly...there is more to architecture than this useless shit...

I guess the classical style is an acquired taste then. No one is asking you to copy someone elses style. it's just that the classical style actually works and is understood by a lot of people.

I learn from my architectural history class that Vitruvius said the classic Greek orders were representative of gender. The Doric order invoked the stature of a man, the Ionic of a woman, and the Corinthian of a young girl.
