You all realize that some insurgent at a distance triggered that. He could have been a mile away, but because we are driving around in very identifiable vehicles, it makes targetting very easy. Since urban warfare favors the "home team", to me, it seems that we need to blend in more and drive less conspicuous vehicles. Put a little armor in some old junkers and the insurgents would have a very hard time telling who's who, just as we have a hard time spotting them.

That wasn't a land mine it was a culvert IED but the culvert was too deep under the road. That was on the route my cousin ran for about 12 months and he was there when it happened. That was nothin you should see the ones that weren't burried too deep.
