Myself being a vegetarian i can tell u this that its all about ethics. i love chicken and im honest about it., however for me or most of the vegans its just plain ugly killing an animal. (now obviously ur not gonna keep that in mind on ur next trip to KFC.) But i hope u realize that most of us can't really watch an alive chicken being slashed before u eat it. @caramelsunit see its very simple, plnts and animals both have life but they are different type of life form, their biology is different, animals have heart, lungs,sexual organs, they go toilet and piss on regular bases, animals fall in love, they express their mood through different body postures sound and facial expression. they will run away if the FEAR you. plants consiousness is very dim they cant move about like animals, when the fruits are fully riped they fall off on groung ready to eat

You just today inevitably had to upgrade those traditions to "plants' consciousness is very dim", which is still outdated and old.
