Maybe, but keep in mind back in the 40s & 50s there was only Chuck Barry and Bo Diddley ! that was about it ! My parents after watching Bo Diddley sing the song ---Bo Diddley on Ed Sullavan in 1955 never allowed Ed Sullavan to be watched on our TV ever again! The first time my dad heard Chuck Barry on the radio in 1961  he flat out pulled it out of the wall plug and threw the whole thing out my bedroom window ! It was a competley different time back then and YOU DID COMPLY !
