Interestingly, King Richard himself wasn't the awesomely wonderful king portrayed in this movie, but to say he was a despicable person is considered inaccurate as well. Richard was more of a mixed bag, at least that's what I've heard. John gained infamy because he hated the idea of being king and was so overwhelmed in the end he let the French take it over, thus earning hatedom from the people. If I got anything inaccurate, please let me know.

Such a fun and catchy song, and even though big Disney animation fans like me can easily pick out the recycled animation from Snow White, The Jungle Book, and The Aristocats, I don't think that really detracts much from the experience.

Besides, I know Robin Hood isn't the only one guilty of recyled animation from the studio.

There is actually a LAW in England that no other English king is to be named John. Actually throrought his entire time on the throne he did one thing that everyone considers good and that's putting his seal on the Magna Carta, which made nobles and peasants equals under the law(yeah, like that really happens. If you have fame or money, you're practically untouchable).

Am I the only one who else sees the Aristocrcats, Snow White and Jungle Book scenes copied into this song? The way Marion dances = snow white and duchess. Little John's dance = Baloo's "wanna be like you" dance. Band = Aristocats' band. the clapping/on-lookers = animals and dwarves from the dance scene in snow white. etc. it goes on!

@aribasultan It's because they were all made by the same creators and the characters at the time were rehashes. Like the rabbit in Robin Hood on the pots and pans is the same as the "chinese" cat on the paino in Scat Cat's band in the Aristocats.

The Aristocats is one of my favourite Disney films, I know every scene inside and out, so when I saw the Chinese cat redrafted as a Chinese rabbit in Robin Hood, naturally my eyebrows went up.

Also, what was the subject of your sentence, the video in general, or a specific part? Perhaps the reuse of dance sequences or characters from other movies(The cat from Aristocats, the rabbit is based on the Chinese one, Lil' John is baloo...)? Don't get me wrong, I loved this era too, but it was by no means perfect.

Because it seemed to me that there were...0 musical numbers that weren't background music, no origional tale to base it on other than a childrens book, and alot of fart jokes in Shrek, where as Tangled had musical style numbers with characters singing, it was based on the version of Rapunzel that is in my...1642 Storybook, and it had more modern comedy, but that is because of the time not the style. Robin Hood was 11 years after Walt died, when the company was dieing.
