As maligned as this game really is, it really beats the shit out of the elevator music of SimCity 4. I actually feel it's underrated in general--its graphics are great, having control over how your city looks is nice, you can make as many save states as you want, and the Values were a good idea on paper. They just didn't make the gameplay intuitive enough, but I really hope some of the ideas in this game survive to be implemented better in the future.
@Matrilwood It really doesn't matter. 1984 (in numbers) is the title of the paperback copy. The hardcover is in letters. They're just being picky. Do it they way they want - write it out.
This is more on par with the Soviet theme rather than the Nazi theme, the Namless Soc-relism Flats, dinky liquor shops on the corner and Factory chimneys one after the other. Which is kind of sad but true that the Soviet Union was Authoritarian and hiding behind Communist ideals.,
Love how people are calling it either Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany music considering both groups hated each other. Both were authoritarian (albeit on opposite sides of the political spectrum) so I guess it works lol
I love Authoritarian cities AND THEY ARE NOT NAZI CITIES, make a state prison look at the propaganda poster near entrance, those are based off of REAL SOVIET COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA! they are Communist Cities, not Nazi, Long live the CCCP! Long live Stalin!
@CHUBBLE117 you do realize that all surviving records from stalinist era combined only show 300,000 people were executed right, look up a video called Stalin Nostalgia, its from a news cast, they say 300,000 executions, most news broadcasts arent fake, unless its Dan Rather, but he didnt make the report.
@Jack10000115 According to the declassified Soviet archives, during 1937 and 1938, the NKVD detained 1,548,366 victims, of whom 681,692 were shot - an average of 1,000 executions a day

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my authoritarian paradise!
Hetre are some basic rules on how to live your lives in my impire.
-Work
-Bow down to me
-Do my bidding
-Bow down to me again
-Watch my state telivision show every night.
-Bow down to me once more.
So remember kids! Eat your vegitibles, do your homework, and listen to my rules, so I dont have to take you away to my Military Acadamy For Young Youth. HA HA HA HA!
You forgot to mention the heavily monitored 1 hour of leisure time per week. Where you can talk with your brothers and sisters of the great nation about the glories triumphs of the great nation and pay homage to the all powerful and benevolent party. Located at the numerous public spaces (everything is public anyway).
Oh, this is an awesome song. I hate to admit it, but this adheres to my musical tastes completely. I have a bit of an iron fisted side that has to be satisfied sometimes, you know what I mean?
