I dont get how people break their ipods so easily. Mines been through the washer. Dropped at least 10 times. rolled over it with my computer chair, and the only thing I have is one scratch.

@sonicfanatic4949 Clearly your washer has no flowing water, nor a tumbling ability otherwise it would be both cracked and have water damage. It's not indestructible, so I don't know what iPod you ended up with.

i was with my dad out side working in the rain and pulled my ipod out and dropped it in a deep hole that was filled with water and it stayed in there for a wile cuz i was looking for it (compleatly sumerged) and it still works right now thats how im watching this vidio

dude the same thing happened to my ipod touch and the only thing that had water damage was the lcd display screen you could have just got a new one of those for about $20, wiped everythin off good to prevent rust and put the new one on and have pretty much a new ipod

do you think there would be much water in my ipod if it was in my washing machine for 3 minutes while it was filling up with water? It was not submerged, but water was splashing on it. You had some in yours, but yours was submerged for 40 minutes, would you think mine would have any in it? (yes it would have some, but I mean would there still be some there after like a week because there was so much it couldnt have evaporated yet)

@spyderpilotuser it does work, but the screen is really fuzzy and white. I want to send it in under warranty, but I'm wondering if apple would know it got wet if they were to open it up. I've read that people say the head phone jack turns pink/red when u have water damage, but mine has not. Of coarse mine has water damage, because my screen got jacked up.

@spyderpilotuser I actually had mine in the toilet for 5 minutes, I immediately turned off the device and I blowdried the device without opening it and then I put in a bucket of rice for about three days. Ever since I am still using the iPOD.

@SteVeYG215 After 40 minutes of being submerged in water and being banged around in a wash spin cycle, it wasn't going to be possible to fix. It was dead. They would have suggested to buy a new one.

@D34THM I didn't have that problem. Your problem might have been the screw driver not correctly fitting the screw whether it was too large or too small to fit the screw in the way that helps it unscrew.
