  • what a pity that they break out

  • Good!!

  • Toto´s got some very good songs . this is one of them

  • David Paich is the guy on lead vocal & keyboards, along with Bobby Kimball on co-lead & background vocals. You can't help but appreciate the combination of music & vocal arrangement that these guys put down.

  • Considering the age of these guys ..it was spot on perfect. I would like to see someone in the 60ish age range do better.

  • Amazing... but I suspect that the highest voice in the chourus is in playback....

  • 261 people did not Bless the Rains Down in Africa....

  • where does the stool come into play?

  • simplismente magnifico,linda musica e afinadisimos

  • Check The Waywards life's a long gig

  • Comment removed

  • When ever I hear this song on the radio I alwayse crank it up to full volume!

  • that was brilliant!

  • This video made me do something unusual. I bought the DVD/CD combo from Amazon. I havent purchased music in years until now. It was worth it! Great concert!

  • sucks that at the chorus they are singing to a backing track,,,,,

  • @Frogpond2112 Just about have to these days. Hard to get those high notes when u get older. I can barely get out of bed! They still rock.

  • How can anybody complain about anyting in this performance??? The lead singer is absolutely a marvellous artist without mentioning the others!

  • Thumbs up if you think that through this song you can see all the beauty of Africa even if you've never been there ... :DD great song, great band.... :))

  • @1203BoogEyMAN1993 WRONG, you see just a tiny fraction of what you can expect in Africa!

  • @1203BoogEyMAN1993 Crack is whack, yo.

  • WHAT??? No fireworks? No huge LCD screens? Just a bunch of highly talented guys doing their thing very very well? IMagine that! Whats this world coming to?

  • @crawfordbureau And yet all those talentless 'artistes' have all those stuff, right?? :D

  • @crawfordbureau EXACTLY!!!

  • bassist still got some swag within

  • who is the guy that says There is nothing i would ever do for you no rasicm or anything buut who is the spanish guy that sung that part i love how he does crescendos

  • the guy who looks like robert downey jr

  • el gordo de los teclados la caga en varios la voz

  • joder... tantos años y sigue teniendo la misma calidad de voz el cantante es lo maximo TOTO

  • i MASTERBATE DOWN IN AFRICA !!!!!!

  • boooooooo

  • I didnt know Rob Reiner was in the band Toto.

  • They've gone AGES now but still this Music lives On... Toto you are the BEST!...

  • Grabs the chair and plays with it... that guy is a GENIUS!

  • Awesome song!

  • Pornstar as a bass player

  • Que chingonada de cancion gracias toto

  • One time i was on toto koncert when i was little and the i got mad beacuse i was like where is toto beacuse i thought toto was a person and then my mom said the guy who is suppoesd to sing is sick and i was like i want TOTO!!!!

  • So sad that...Steve Porcaro left the group...and Mike is the only Porcaro brother left...they and Steve Lukather...truly made the group...and not to forget Bobby Kimble...maybe I´m bais...

  • @pj934 problem is you see, as a musician, you never stop being able to play. But the singer, well his voice will go over time and that was the case here.

  • For years I´ve know Toto was the best...and even with the loss of Jeff Porcaro, they still kick...and Only Simon Phillips could replace Jeff...Long live Toto...

  • F'ing AMAZING!

  • Paich sounds horrible. Normally not but this was hard to listen to.

  • love the drummer....but you can tell the man in black is lip syncing.....

  • @bdurham1993 The Drummer is Simon Phillips...Great drummer...watch his facial expressions...he´s the laughing man of Music...and really good...

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHH YESSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Vocals are absolute...musicianship impeccable. Nowonder these were all highly desired studio players.

  • "Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you..."

    :(

  • lol @ lukather @ 1:48

  • Brace your self replay button

  • From the beginning they were serious about their craft and throughout time they just transcend positive energy, dedication and promise to lahore the love...

  • i was bought in a hip-hop generation but i'd kill for this song to play lmao :D

  • This would have been a decent performance if the lead vocalist didn't sound so bored. Backing vocals are excellent.

  • @GothHair2 Bored? No, I would say 'calm.'

  • @GothHair2 This song was written to be very laid back....and his vocal talents have become a bit limited with age and he's also busy with the keyboards while singing...but I could imagine hes a bit bored with the song after all these years.

  • @GothHair2 decent?? it was awesome

  • @GothHair2 the backing vocals in this particular case were prerecorded. The band openly admitted to being unable to hit the notes any more so they used an old recording for that bit :)

  • @GothHair2 Are you a lead vocalist? Nope, and we're both dicks :P

  • I'm 20 & this song is awesome btw. classics

  • his voice is amazing!

  • 254 people must have been watching this upside down!

  • the best singers !!!

  • Dude that little guy with the mustache singing the high note is awesome, that's the voice that really makes the song I think, maybe the band.

  • @iceman8067 you mean Bobby Kimball

  • @iceman8067 Couldn't agree with u more! :D

  • @iceman8067 but how did they get littlefinger from asoiaf to play in their band?

  • @iceman8067 I am quite sure though that the highest voice is in playback :)

Trust me I know Toto very well, and Bobbi hasn't anymore the voice of 20 years ago.

    Still stunning anyway!

  • @FascioINgabbia It's only an A he passes it to a high C in Rosanna and a C# at about 3:32 in this song. But it sounds kind of like playback. It's a tough one

  • @kristophize I meant 3:52

  • @iceman8067 Es Bobby Kimball

  • the lead vocals are pretty ruff live

  • Una de los grandes clasicos

  • nostalgia pura !

  • We give a fuck about your age, please stop the "I'm 14 and i love this" comments. It's for your own good kids, no one's gonna say "hey, look, that kid is 15 and he likes, he's awesome." That said, it is a really good song by an excelent band.

  • @dobbyarmando

    I´m 18 and I agree with you

  • i'm so happy that i like this kind of music and not shit like david guetta or so.. and i'm 16...

  • ToTo in Chile at Quinta Vergara... unforgettable day!!!

  • When Bobby first started singing in this vid it gave me some major shivers - even though the chorus is 100% playback. ; )

  • OMG the sound quality of the chorus...if it's not some lypsinc, i'm seriously over uber impressed! Kudos to the sound engineers! Did anyone who saw them live can confirm such a quality of sound? It's fuckin pristine!

  • I listen to really sick music genres like Black, Thrash, Death and so on, but Toto is one of the greatest bands ever...I mean Steve is one of my fave guitarists :D

  • @MuggerFugger665 The same can be told about, i'm a drummer, though! Simon is rock solid!

  • toto means poo in mi language

  • @coolian46 You know how much fuck I give? None...

  • I love the face at 1:48... he loves playing the song, and I love listening to it!

  • MA RA VI LHO SO

  • Who has the high voice?

  • @DeathBodyInTheLake I believe that is Bobby Kimball.

  • this is shit "viva vox" is much much better......

  • I love this song. Great band.

  • Antology....

  • this is very very god ,absolutely perfect

  • second half = fail haha

  • NOT lip synching trane....real deal

  • I love toto

  • simon phillips on drums?

  • @napomania i think he is

  • @napomania yup, he took over 92 when jeff passed.

  • Amsterdam is so cool, Dutch women are getting into prostitution for free looking like Doutzen Kroes. Next to the Red Light Destrict, It used be in Amsterdam South East and and now Amsterdam North. It happens al the time I can get a Dutch blond women for 100euros even more better looking like Doutzen or Kim Feenstra, I bought one yesterday in Amsterdam Red Light and one in Amsterdam North by African, Suriname, Antillean, Morrocan, Turkish men. The Dutch system makes it that way..lol.

  • they're one of the best bands ever..I'd prefer to listen to these kind of band than those of irritating sounds from the new artists that doesn't have true meaning of music..just an annoying sounds. bravo TOTO..

  • @msdeathmarionette I LOVE this Song And I LOVE MUSIC, Check out to days new bands, Look at my vids, We are Of today. I Am Of Today, Dont curse my generation, Encourage us for tomorrow will soon end and new day will begin. We must move on, Remember, learn, and love. That is the the power of inspiration and the power of toto.

  • @msdeathmarionette

    well i say

    TRUE THAT!! my friend :)

  • @msdeathmarionette this isn't even good...

  • Gotta love 1:48, where he grins at Bobbys enthustiastic lipsync

  • this is absolutely sensational... im 19 and my favourite genre is trance but this is great music. people should learn to appreciate music regardless of their genre

  • @didikay92 agreed.

  • @didikay92 - I agree. This song is beautiful and the band is awesome too.

  • @didikay92 yea no shit. although if you like trance you must be a real braintard

  • The old voice of this guy simply can't handle with the chorus notes! well mine is young and I think I can't handle with them neither :(

  • wow what a great performance..after all these years they're voices and music has not changed!!

  • great!!

  • Its gonna take a lot to take me away from you theres nothing that a 100 men or more could ever do....If that line isnt love I don't know what is....

  • bardzo lubię piosenka

    fajna piosenka i fajna śpiewa

  • sighhzz... right i like you to re-read my previous comment the one that starts "i won't hold you back" ... once your done i know like you to notice a few quotes from that comment... 'i won't hold you back' ..'99'... 'hold the line'....'with a little help from my friends' and 'make believe'... if you haven't already noticed these are all Toto hits. it IS obvious that Jason Derulo covered Toto i was being sarcastic before and then just playing you from then on in...

  • Peter North on bass!

  • @KamiNoKazoku I won't hold you back from that comment however i do definitely have it right. i have 99 people who agree with me on another video and are quite willing to hold the line with me on this. With a little help from my friends i will persuade you that Jason Derulo came first with this song, it's not make believe.

  • @Symons90 sighz... cant you see? are u blind? watch the music video of this song . it is so obvious that it was made very long ago , how can jason derulo make this song first? if u have any proof that jason derulo made this song 1st, show me. TOTO was a band formed back in the 70's , why can't you understand this?!

  • MUY PERO MUY BUENA..........

  • Young musicians fortunate enough to be watching this, LISTEN to that GROOVE. The pocket was even deeper when Jeff was there, but Simon and Mike were a lesson in feel as well. Toto has/had the best "band time" I ever had seen, when all group members are riding the same wave as locked in. I learned so much from watching and listening to them - I strongly encourage the new guys coming up to do the same. Toto are legends.

  • Why the fuck do you have to mention derulo? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why?

I mean what is THE FUCKING POINT

  • L♥ve it

  • Jason Derulo or Toto?

    TOTO !

  • Voll cool das Lied einer meiner love-songs

  • didn't karl wolf make this

  • OMG he's white!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Symons90 makes a joke. Everyone takes him serious.

    Epic bass is epic.

  • @XanosKnyghtshade Thank you!! i guess sarcasm is hard to read lol

  • Every time I hear this, it reminds me of Troy and Abed :D

  • arr wow i didn't know Toto covered Jason Derulo

  • @Symons90 Toto released this song 1982 which was before that shit head was even born.

  • @rossyboy1081 i know i know i was kidding lol

  • @Symons90 Are you stupid? This is the original. Jason Derulo has no talent and no song writting abilities.

  • Comment removed

  • @Symons90 ur really stupid isnt it ? toto is a much older band than jason. how could toto covered jason derulo? jason derulo copied this song straight and made it sound much worse

  • @KamiNoKazoku i think you got your facts wrong there.. toto literally just started out as a band

  • @Symons90 u got your facts wrong here. toto was formed back in 1977. check it up on wikipedia , genius.

  • @KamiNoKazoku You know sikipedia is not fact right? Anyone can alter it.

  • @Gazjohnful you tellin me toto was formed later than jason derulo?

  • @KamiNoKazoku At what point did i say that... I was just pointing out you take wikipedia like its fact...

  • @Gazjohnful not ALL of wikipedia is fake , there are real ones .. but this band really did started out in 70s

  • @Jakov989

    JASON DERULO BROUGHT ME HERE

  • hey I got one: I passed an aid's test in Afriiiicaaaaaaaaa....Just kidding. I wanted to out do the horrible parodies people typed as comments.

  • La musica mejor elaborada de los 80s Mas que Rock es una Obra maestra

  • 248 regaytoneros

  • 4 chords

  • can't tell if lip syncing the chorus or just that good.

  • er

  • I masturbate down in africa wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaahahah

  • @Leo9cordero

Idiot, how old are you? 12?

  • their harmonies are absolutely perfect...... wtf.........

  • "I lead some raids down in aaaaaafricuhh"

  • Ohh.. It's make me feel alive!!! :)

  • I like how the drumer beatboxing while he's playing

  • This guy has an amazing voice,..... TOTO forever

  • J like it!!

  • LYRICS---> "I catched some aids down in africa"

  • @zinfnjfoe Are you kidding me?? This song is a classic and is amazing. A great band with great talent. Derulo's only talent comes from an expensive mixer and synthesizer. Thinking his version is better is ridiculous. The talent and musical ability of Toto should not even be subject to comparison with Jason Derulo Thank you very much.
