of course I watched this when it first aired, (im kinda an old guy) later they had re-runs every sat & sun, on ch11 here in los angeles.

I never missed it, have seen every show a hundred times I think but never get bored with this show.

That was from Ray Bradbary Martian Chronicals. It was a TV Miniseries in the 80's and Parts of it including that story were done as episodes of Ray Bradbary Theater

I never actually read the book, I just heard the transcribed version from the old Radio program X Minus 1.

Though I saw a whole lot of TV when I was little and a lot of it sci fi/horror, nothing scared me more than watching this particular episode late one night. Fog...ugly monsters...silences and spooky music...scared the living daylights out of me!

Only as an adult did I appreciate the beauty of story of The Feasibility Story.
