The piano as backing track? o.o It's not the same without Matt playing it himself, but it still is a nice alternative, rather than always playing it the same.
Do prefer the piano version, but Matt can make anything epic.
Instead of says "this preformance has strobe lights" it should say "This preformance just like any muse preformance will fucking blow your mind, So get ready for your friend to clean up your brain off the floor cause its going to go everywhere.."
omg, such a beautiful version, especially the beginning *me wants to have jacket* awesome solo...
i wish they'd play sunburn more often really...i think i'm gonna abduct them in manchester until hey play it...and the entire origin of symmetry album (+ b-sides) mehehe *evil plan*
thats one of the only times i've seen him use an effects pedal with his manson MB-1 god i want that guitar sooo bad, but for a replacement for it would it be possible to use a fender squier telecaster master series with humbucker pickups? because it seems to have a similar design, if not correct me if i'm wrong
@qwaz13 possibly, with his guitar he has a Fernandes Sustainer, which is what he's using during the beginning for those long violin like notes, and what looks like two p90 pickups at the bridge, they're probably wired together in some way. The telecaster wouldn't get the exact sound of this guitar, but some of his others with humbuckers, like the MB-1 and the red glitter guitar, it may get a similar sound. When it comes down to it, your amp is going to be what creates most of your tone.
what? its so much better with the improvizing. the album version is just whammy at two octaves and tremolo picking this one has some tapping and a lil different eratic tempo
It's a Fernades Sustainer circuit. Matt has them in his Kaoss Manson's (well he does in this one :P) and they can give you infinite sustain with just a little bit of constant bending on the fretted note.

Too bad the solo is so mediocre in comparison to the album version. :(

Haha, I got buried. All I mean is I wish it was bigger sounding, like on the album. I think its double-tracked there.

im trying to figure out how Matt gets that much sustain. WHAT IS IT?
gregory06 4 years ago
I think its a sustainer circuit in his guitar. check out the 'New Manson Guitar' video on you tube.
