No guitars have a "distortion switch". I change channel with a footswitch, and sometimes change guitar pickup with the pickup selector switch (although this guitar only has one pickup). Depends what you want, tone, music, looks, feel, what amp, trem or fixed bridge, etc, and of course your budget. My favourite "all-rounder" is actually my cheapest guitar, the Epiphone Les Paul but loaded with hot pickups. Favourite metal guitar is my Schecter, but I haven't used it on a video yet

Yes, it's a good budget valve amp with a wide range of sounds. It'll need an overdrive boost for the real heavy metal, but as you can see I did loads of rock/metal covers using this amp without any added effects.

Thanks. I love the Rhoads models. This one is a Jackson Kevin Bond Signature Rhoads, it cost USD1000 a few years ago, I imported it in to the UK. It's no longer in production now.

No, it's standard scale length, etc, which is actually longer than your typical Gibson or ESP. It's just an illusion created by the body shape, with most of it it being behind my right arm or between my legs!

It can't be wrong, it's MY COVER, i.e. my version. Actually the main solo is pretty much spot on copmpared to the original; the second solo (as I explained in the notes) is improvised. To answer your question, I make these videos because I enjoy it.

Thanks. This one's a Jackson Kevin Bond Signature Rhoads, on the wall is a Jackson RR3 Rhoads. They are not smal in terms of all hardware and neck dimensions, but the shape has less wood than a conventional shape. I also have a Jackson RR5 Rhoads; see it in my other covers!
